    Not true.
Happens often and is the ideal objective in every trade: A trade that works for both teams.

They are being schooled by the rest of the league. I think the issue is we are always trying to make the "smarter" move. We missed Gortat, Stoudemire, Chandler, Anthony, Bosh, Gordon, both Gasols, Nene, Drummond, Howard, Smith, Lin, Dragic and Lee even - at this point we have to overpay. Every GM in the NBA can smell how f-ing desperate we are. Nobody wants to come here. Let's make a lopsided trade for a great to allstar level player that we overpay for, or trade away too many future picks for an allstar. There arent a ton of allstar players to get and we will have to pay dearly to get that on our team. We're too busy being safe and planning for the future. Overpay or trade "too much" for some talent dammit or bite the bullet and tank!!! I can't believe I would be happy trading for Al Jefferson and the Asik. Deal going through and Lowry having a change of heartand staying because that is the best case scenario.

    PG Lowry
    SG Martin
    SF Parsons
    PF Jefferson
    C Asik

You could have just avoided the thread Nero instead of going on a rant in here. I have been here along time and I just choose to ignore the topics that bother me. Don't get how your outburst helped anyone besides yourself.

People have a right to be unhappy just like they have a right to be okay with things or still have trust in Morey etc etc

Thank you to the posters who aren't trying to criticize my thoughts. This is a forum and I wanted to express my opinions because this is very frustrating. I guess it's even more frustrating because it's been the same crap the past three years.

    Something needs to happen. Anything!

Unless every report we have heard, Daryl Morey has been one of the busiest GMs in the league.

    1. He signed Asik. This guy is young and fills a position of need. The expectations are that he progresses to be as good as Gortat. If that happens then 8 million a year is a steal.

    2. Jeremy Lin looks to be on the verge of signing with the Rockets. The board was pissed at DM last year because he let a superstar walk but now must people think he's trash only because they are looking for reasons to bash Morey.

    3. Eric Gordon DM met and tried to sign him but we all knew that this was the longest of shots. He eventually signed with Pheonix but we already know NO will match.

    4. Lee. Withdrew the qualifying offer but the Rockets still own his Bird rights and can outbid any team for him if they decide to keep him.

    5. Dragic Not willing to pay him 10 million a year or more, simple as that. I don't think he wants to put that kind of strain on the salary for a guy that is arguably no better than the current starter on the team who is paid only half of that. I wanted to keep Dragic but with him gone at least Lowry should be happy to keep his starting spot.

Looks to me that Daryl Morey has been active as hell.

A lot has happened in case you were not paying attention. And are you so impatient that you need everything to happen even before the moratorium is over. Nothing can even be made official yet.

At this rate it looks like there are already major changes on the team of at least 6 new players on a 15 man roster.

We develop young players like Landry, dragic, Lowry.... then we let them go cuz they get all expensive and sheet.

Lowry is not gone and if reports are correct DM is asking the moon for him. Translation, he is likely not going anywhere.

Landry was traded for Kevin Martin - clear upgrade to the team.

Dragic is likely gone for nothing.

bold(ed) made an otherwise solid post seem silly.

we had 2 better pgs than turnover machine. Lin is a step back.

What I posted was fact. Posters were non stop bashing Daryl Morey for letting Lin go because they thought he was a superstar. Theses are the facts and they are not disputable. You can argue if you thin Lin is a superstar put that is an entirely different debate.

Many of those same posters are now slamming Daryl Morey for trying to sign Lin. These are the facts and they are not disputable.

A contending team would obviously be great, but i wont hold my breath till i see Broussard report it (sarcasm) Id rather see a team headed to the lottery while developing the young players we have, than another mediocre team missing the playoffs and drafting yet another beloved undersized PF at 14th.

The good news is: this is Morey's last year in his contract.

Yes, a lot has happened. Hence the reason, why Dragic is now gone to the Suns for 8.5 million a year. Seems like they are more aggressive than we are

At 8.5 million a year they certainly wanted Dragic more than the Rockets. I wonder if they would have offered 8.5 million to Dragic if they had Kyle as their starter for 5.5 million?

He is still going after Dwight, and our chances just got better with Nash going to the Lakers (3yr window now, no need to trade for Dwight for a rental).

Must sign Lin, trade Lowry (near all-star player) + Martin (expiring) + young players/picks to Magic.

Actually, if LA will indeed pull out of the Dwight trade, signing Lin just became priority #1.

While I like Dragic better than Lin, especially for the contract differences mentioned, Lin is better on the PnR than Dragic and could work the same alleyhoop dunks that he did with Tyson Chandler, except this time with Dwight.

I read in the forum that he signed a new 5 year contract last year ... not sure if true
