Yeah to you fans it is.

To players who work their ass off to win a ring there is no principle.

I have no problem with Nash going to the Lakers. He of all players deserves a legitimate chance to win a ring. He carried those teams in Phoenix all those years and never did ask to be traded nor did he gripe about management not giving him the supporting cast he needed. Not once has he ever thrown a teammate under the bus. He is at the end of his career and as much as I hate the Lakers, I hope Nash can win a ring.

I've liked Nash for years and have wanted him to win a championship. Now I hope he falls flat on his face and fails with the Lakers.

Yeah, I know it would be different as a player, but joining a super team would take alot of the meaning away from winning.

Hmm....nice move. imho that puts the lakers right back in the thick of things. Nash can't guard a chair but his offensive skills are elite.

There's no practical point to the principle if it's winning on a good team vs. not making the playoffs. Nash still shot lights out this year...hope that continues.

Nash/Gasol high pick and roll with Bynum waiting in the paint and Kobe on the wing...try and defend that - I dare you lol.

If we had a super team here we would definitely not watch them...on principle alone. Well...maybe we'd watch them once in a while if we had nothing better to do.

    Why?

Nobody can win a championships by themselves.

    Hell, even a team of

    scrub 1
    scrub 2
    LeBron
    scrub 4
    scrub 5

was good enough to get to the Finals, only to get swept by the Spurs.

Like another poster said, he didn't b**** about the crappy seasons after the D'Antoni / Stoudemire era, nor did he demand to be traded.

Honestly, I think he stays, unless a deal for Howard presents itself.

The Lakers team with Nash is immediately WCF contenders.

I think someone explained it a couple of pages back. Lakers couldn't outright sign him, they could only trade for him. they used the trade exception from Lamar Odom to trade for Nash. And this way, Nash at least gives the Suns some draft picks although they will be crappy ones.

Well this sucks. I like Nash, but I hate the Lakers and Kobe even more. I don't want Kobe to get his 6th.

This also probably means the Knicks match anything we throw at Lin, so we're probably going to either have to overpay Gogi or go with a disgruntled Lowry. Damn.

So there's a principle that says you need to go to the suckiest team to prove yourself? Him joining the lakers is fine - he is one of 3-4 legit teams for the title - it's not automatic. They still have to deal with Miami, OKC and Spurs. Boston might be pretty good too depending on how their vets hold up. I wish him luck - he's classy.

Of course, I fully expect Lakers to trade Bynum for Howard now. They'd be stupid not to do it. Howard would resign it there now I'm sure.

If it isn't obvious to you: I don't like the Lakers.

What on planet Earth does LeBron have to do with this? Why O why does he have to be thrown into every thread and conversation?
