If the Bobcats end up offering $10 million per year, I am not exactly sure what you all would want Morey to do. There is no way you give him that type of money off of one great month.
even at $9 million they can't beat 5 years $40 million because they can only offer 4 years $36 million.
the 4 year deal is better. All he's got to do is score a $4 million deal in his next free agency. Odds are, if he stays healthy, he'll make a lot more than that in year 5, which would be year 1 of a new deal.
LOL. You can't sacrifice an extra $4 million of guaranteed salary. By the time 4 years are over he'll be 30 years old. yea, 30 year old. Using your logic Players would just sign a bunch of one year deals! Lol
big difference between 1 year and 4 years. Small difference between $4 million for the fifth season when the player is going to be 30 years old, in their prime and probably worth $10 million per season on the open market.
Really? Why do you think Deron signed with Nets? Extra year. Why do you think Howard didn't just walk away from Orlando? Extra year. Players look at years not $$$.
Ugh. You're kidding me, right? DWILL got an extra $22 million for that 5th year. C'mon dude. You're crazy if you think they don't look at the dope. Get out of town!
Exactly. Players know their bodies are time ticking bombs. Get guaranteed money while you can. If you blow a knee in year 1 at least you know you got an extra year out of your NBA career.
Are you trading the Wolves to get Dalembert back or including them on a 3 team deal? You do know Dalambert is not with the Rockets anymore right?
Players want the guaranteed money. They're all too well aware of injuries. That's why so many of them often bring up "overall money" as being important., ie take less money per year, but make most money from extra year.
Sorry. Not at that age. Sure he could get injured. That's a risk you take at 26. Not a risk you take at 31.
