Do you ever get the feeling that the Lakers are God's team? Seriously...every time the Lakers need something some other team just magically appears and give them what they need for peanuts. What the hell???
A premiere free agent going to a tax paying team hurts the Rockets in free agency. As for the Lakers, I'm not sure how the Nash-Kobe pairing would work. Kobe has to work harder on the defensive end? So he becomes less effective? Kobe doesn't give up the ball, but Nash needs the ball in his hands?
I hope it helps him launch his Hollywood career, because he isn't getting a ring with the current LAL group.
Shaq's teammates who are HOF...Wade, Nash, Kobe, Lebron, KG, Allen, Rondo, Pierce, Malone, Payton and if it werent for injuries add to the list, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway and Amare
Anyone else surprised that this trade isn't a huge splash? In fact, it's pretty monotone-ish, as far as superstar trades go. Is it because he's old? lol
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine RT @FisolaNYDN: Grant Hill will either join Steve Nash and the Lakers or retire, a source close to the veteran forward told me
The Lakers are better... But not NBA championship good.. Kobe has always dominates the ball.. Not sure he is going to become a traditional shooting guard .. Nash, Kobe, Artest and Gasol are getting old.. Bynum is injury prone and unpredictable... Their perimeter defense will be garbage.. OKC is still way better
Nash is of the classiest players around, including a string of charitable work which included giving the funds to build a hospital in Paraguay. He speaks his mind without putting up his finger to see where the political winds are blowing. Oh, and he is an excellent bb player. I hope he wins one.
As a first time replier but long time rockets fan, I think this move has upside for the Rockets. -This puts an hourglass on the Lakers leaving the Rockets to rebuild and take over the division -Also makes sure we don't get J Lin which would be a huge mistake to sign him -Makes Dragic/Lowry more wanted in Phoenix or Toronto and we need to trade one of them
If there was one allstar player in the league who I thought would not go to a super team Steve Nash would be it, but I guess not, I also thought Battier would be above it but I was wrong again. Is there not one player in the NBA with any standards?
Nash is the one player who can take the control of the offense AWAY from Kobe. Kobe will have to play within Nash's "system" (because Mike Brown has none) to get the ball, and Kobe will find out that Nash will get you the ball if you play in his system. And Bynum will get his too. Lakers' offense will be scary good.
Why in the hell would you think Shane Battier wouldn't go to a super team to help out with his skill set?
