Let me put all my cards on the table.

Yes I'm asian (M Night Shaymalan twist!). I'm obviously biased, I mainly like and root for Jeremy Lin because he's asian. I am not a Rockets fan.

Obviously any argument I make in favor of Jeremy Lin is not going to be objective, though I have linked to a couple of pro-writers assessments (although obviously that too I cherrypicked only the ones that supported my position)

So I'm at least honest about it. But I dispute that you guys know anything either. The first 10 pages or so barely nobody really presented any objective evidence (cherry picked or not) to support the case, it's all just "Oh he sucks" "Dragic is better", "he can't play defense" "Miami exposed him".

Did you guys watch every game he played for with the Knicks? I did. You didn't, I'm willing to bet everything you say about Lin (the majority of you, one or two may actually know what they're talking about) is based on something you saw on a message board, or just a 30 second highlight on Sportscenter not based on watching Knicks games constantly or any informative article. And oh yeah you have a Goran Dragic bias because you've seen him play over and over but not Lin.

Anyway you don't know I don't know. There are bad arguments there are good arguments for Dragic vs Lin. Unfortunatley we won't know for sure until next season so I'm just going to have to grit my teeth and wait to see if the anti-Lin people are wrong and I'm right or I'm right and most of you are wrong.

And lastly I'm not sure what the deal is with asian members, or what happened in the Yao Ming era. Maybe some asian posters were over the top or whatever and you're justifed in being weary but I see all that stuff about "OMG the asian!" or "You must be asian" and it seems pretty unseemly to me.

I watch sports, I don't care if the players are black or white I accept that for a variety of reasons people like me are not very common in US pro sports. But then Jeremy Lin comes along, he makes all those shots, 38 points against the Lakers on National TV, game winner against Toronto. It awakened that dormant feeling about being marginalized in sports and racial identity and that stuff.

So that's why I get a little pissy when people spout off stuff they can't back up, they've barely seen 2 games of him in action, or post hilarious Fluke posters pictures in rebuttal or someone. So that's where I and possibly many other asians that annoy you people so much are coming from. They may not just be as articulate about it as I am.

 

Damn we really need to get this Dragic deal done.

 

Ok dragic gets his 10 mil.

LOL Lakers Knicks located in classy cities with classy and passionate fan base. Rockets cannot compete.

Eh didn't really want lin anyways, dragic is prefer'd but only if he will sign for 7 mill a year. If not just stick with lowry tell him and McHale to get over it. I like lowry the most its a shame he has an issue with McHale, its even more of a shame that the whole league knows and thinks because of that he can be had for a scrub and a 2nd round pick.

 

How could you expect anything else?
