How much is too much? I'd go to about 4-5 mil. I don't think I could talk myself into more than that. 5 years 22.5 million.
I think he's a better PG than the min. 5 years, 28-30 million sounds pretty fair, tbh. But that's just me.
3rd guard? He should be their starting point guard and is right up there with George in terms of impact.
He will start. The team came together after he entered the lineup in place of Collison, who was hurt. Sucks to lose your spot due to injury. Hill is a mixed bag, being a defense-first PG. I am hoping with a full training camp he improves as a distributor, since the Pacers were 29th in the NBA in assists. Or maybe he can just learn to feed the post a lot better.
He's better than Collison, so I won't argue that he shouldn't start for the Pacers. I wasn't talking about the Pacers though. I was talking in general. He's nice player, but ideally he's your first guard off the bench, playing 25-30 minutes.
George Hill is a nice player who should be starting. I would say anywhere between 25 and 30, and it's a good deal. Darren Collison has been disappointing over there. I remember when he was being hyped as the next great PG in the NBA, and fans on here were killing Daryl Morey for not trading for him. My how the times change.
Look, I already said that I think Hill is a very nice player, but if you're building a team and George Hill is either your starting PG or SG, you in all liklihood won't be going very far. Hill can be an essential piece to a championship team, but if you look at him as a starter, you're doing it wrong.
True. But Fisher is the exception to the rule. Also, this isn't about better or worse, but about fit. While Fisher wasn't as good as Hill, he complimented the players around him very well and fit in greatly in the triangle.
...and by 'fit in' you mean stay the hell out of the way and shoot when the ball is kicked out to you ?
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA George Hill's five-year deal with the Indiana Pacers is worth $40 million, according to league source. The NBA has gone insane.

Seems a little high to me. Will be interesting to see how this will compare to what Lin and Dragic end up getting.
I just went out on a date with a chick who dated George Hill for 3 years. I wonder if she is gonna call him back up again.
