We traded it to New Jersey for TWill. New Jersey sent the pick to Atlanta as part of the Joe Johnson trade.
Traded it to NJ for TWill, and they just traded it to ATL as part of the Joe Johnson trade, but yes it is lottery protected.
It now belongs to Atlanta since the Nets included it in the Joe Johnson trade. It is top 14 protected.
So, if I'm reading this right, we have no first round pick unless the Mavs make it to at least the second round, AND the Nets make the playoffs. Well...****.
If we're in the lottery we keep our pick, but tanking is never a guarantee for anything. Just ask Michael Jordan & the Cats.
