How can anyone justify a max contract for Eric Gordon? Glad we didn't S&T for him, and I imagine the Hornets won't match the offer sheet. They're not competing next year anyway, so they can utilize Jack/Vasquez until someone with better value appears (i.e., probably in the lottery next year).

If true then they need to convince EG to sign with Rox and effect trade. As if.

I was talking partially of myself too. LOL! Yeah I was laying it on a little thick. Just a little. I am like Ron Burgandy sometimes with my views. I think very highly of them.

So our management is inept because we didn't trade up in the draft. Lets think about that.

What was the highest pick that was traded once the lottery order was set? That would be #12 which was acquired by who? Yes, it was the Rockets.

So the teams in the top 11 all decided to keep their pick so that means that the Rockets are inept because we couldn't force them to trade their picks against their wills? What did you have in mind...a handgun?

Is every other team also inept because they didn't trade into the top 10?

What non-role players have the Spurs signed in the last few years? How about the Mavs? Lakers? OKC? Boston?

Exactly. Whether these teams made the right or wrong decision, I'm not sure (such as Bobcats trading for Harden so the Thunder could get Beal), but the fact they felt comfortable sticking with their pick shows that arguably nobody could have made them trade those picks. Blaming Morey for this doesn't make sense since we wouldn't want him to overpay for a rookie who simply may not pan out.

How do you know the Rockets did not offer Kmart and Lowry to someone in the top 10 to move up?

Or, do you think the Rockets did not offer too much? I think DM holds on too long and that sometimes you can lose a trade to make the team better in the long run.

Mavs - Tyson Chanler, Shawne Marion, Vince Carter.

Lakers - Ron Artest (whom I despise but still)

OKC - Royale Ivey (I got nothing here)

Boston - Brandon Bass (yeah nothing here either)

Spurs - Well they drafted Kwahi Leonard right after Marcus Morris - YIKES.

Either way, I do think the Rockets front office has been spinning its wheels and has not made the team appreciably better.

Just because you have 15 NBA role players on the roster doesn't mean the team is any better, it means that about 7 of them are rusting on the bench or with the Vipers.

They are not inept.... They simply failed to move into Top 5 or Top 8.
They are likely unable to sign any major free agents.....
I am all for rebulding. They failed to win now.... so I guess they will win later

I'm relieved that Gordon is going elsewhere. The guy is an undersized combo guard who's injured all the time. He's a Jason Terry type at best - decent scoring 6th man but not someone who can anchor your team.

Now if only the Bulls would match Asik, and we will have avoided a similar desperation signing (although Asik at an average of $8mil is way better than Gordon at the max).
