What African-American do you personally know that's seriously contemplated receiving reparations? I've never, in my life, have ever encountered that sentiment in anything more than a joke. That being said, I understand completely how slavery/Jim Crow/institutionalized discrimination has effected blacks in this country. All those groups came here by choice. They are self selective. They had the determination to make a better life for themselves. The Indians that came here were highly educated so you can't compare them to bunch of random Africans. The Nigerians that come to this country are pretty successful because they came here by choice and are educated not some random people. If you took some random Indians in the village you think they would succeed here?
