IMHO Rivers will need to be mentored for a year. Enter Martin. NOLA needs a 3. Exit Chandler. Throw in a tweener oops, I mean 4-asset. Deal? I hope so.

I would always take the star big over the star small. However Love is not gettable right now. I would give Martin, Morris, and Jones for Gordon.

I assume this was worked out quite awhile ago by Stern.

How so? You mean as a "make up" to us? Or to screw us over again?

    "Basketball Reasons."

Didn't count, sorry. He was mostly injured.

I live in Vegas, so I was able to follow the Clippers on TV regularly. Dude is a baller and something that we need. He is not getting a max contract for nothing.

I asked a similar question 10 posts ago , now I'm an expert in the matter and I believe a sign and trade would answer that

what incentive does n.o. have to do a s&t with us?
what would they want in return?
would giving up significant assets prevent us from getting dwight?

I don't know exact numbers but a max contract for Gordan I think is around 13-14 million.

Martin and a couple rookies would be about the same salary in a sign and trade.

Sign and trade would be the only way.

Well Martin would be a good mentor to Rivers and someone mentioned earlier a s and t with Martin , Morris , and Patterson. The salaries seem to be almost perfect. I don't think any of the players we would give up would hinder our chances for Howard, in the event we get him. We would still have pleanty of young talent to offer

Eric Gordon and the Phoenix Suns agree to a Maximum Offer sheet worth $58 million over 4 years, sources said.

    I know, I know .....

It just seems a little too coincidental that a deal w/ NO netting us Gordon should go down.

Call me a conspiracy theorist ...If it DOES go down,we'll see what he costs us, besides capspace.

Yeah, even though Herr Stern inadvertently saved us from ourselves, it wouldn't shock me if promises were made.

    Classic NBA make-up call, indeed.

Makes me sick to my stomach if Gordon and Dragic ends up in Phoenix.
