If they do, by 2014, they have about 77mil invested in stat, melo, chandler, and lin! Without the repeat offender lux tax that will be imposed (over 60mil)! If I'm doing my math right, that would be well over 130 mil invested in just 4 players!:eek:

Is this website bogus? It reports other news----Gordon to Suns; Deron stays in Brooklyn---but no one else is reporting this, so someone help me call b.s.

Report: Rockets sign Jeremy Lin to offer sheet

    By TheScore.com July 03, 2012

    UPDATE
The Rockets have come to terms with Jeremy Lin on an offer sheet. Specific terms of the deal have not been released. As of July 11th, the Knicks will have 3 days to match offer.

New York Knicks restricted free agent point guard Jeremy Lin will visit the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, according to ESPN.

The report indicates that Houston can make a 4-year, $40 million contract offer to Lin where the final 2 years would be worth $15 million per season.

Ironically, the Rockets had waived Lin at the end of training camp in December to make room on the roster for Samuel Dalembert. He subsequently joined the Knicks and became an instant phenomenon, averaging 14.6 points and 6.4 assists in 35 contests last season.

Is it it tommorow already? Doesn't seem like a site that breaks news.

Way not true. Lowry is capping out IMO. Goran was just taking off. Now the both may have the same ceiling. Lin...too TO prone for my taste.

I wouldn't believe this because Lin would be making a minimum of $10 million...that is how much Dragic wanted. Why would they pay Lin that much but not Dragic?

Watch us sign Lin, then have Knicks threaten or sign him.

Asik and Lin would have been signed just to have the respective teams match.

I would hope that wouldn't happen.

Probably untrue. That news has been up for a couple of hours now and no one has yet to confirm it. Not even Feigen. They probably just collected the rumors and mashed it all up into that piece.

Most likely not true. What morey should do is backload the crap out his contract in a 3yr deal similar to Asik's so that if NYK matches, they will be extremely screwed when Lin's contract jumps to 15mil in 2014.

It's bogus. The Rockets have a scheduled meeting for tomorrow so it would be illogical to think they have an agreement before their scheduled meeting. Normally these reports are the result of a low rung blogger trying to get some credibility with people on the internet by putting something up early and then if it ends up being true he can claim to have broken it with secret sources.

Lowry capping out was 19ppg, 8.8 assists, and 7.9rpg( leading our team in boards).. shooting 85% FT, 38%3pt, and 2.0 spg

If thats capping out as a player i would take that anyday of the week, and it means more because Lowry was not in a CONTRACT YEAR like Gogi

Morey wouldn't offer that because Knicks would match it.
He's going to backload his contract out of necessity.

If rockets sign Lin to anything above MLE it will end up being the modern day Matt Maloney deal:(

Lin has the same rules as Asik, he is a 2 year player, so he can only get like 5 million in the first 2 years then you can hammer it up.

Chances are it's bogus... but if true I don't see NY matching that.
