Would the rockets have done this if Asik was on any other team? By releasing Lee, doesn't it force Chicago to let Asik walk, so that they can go after Lee? They have been after him for the longest time...

we're cleverly "tanking" . it's what you people (what do you mean you people?) have wanted all along and now that it's here..."what are the rockets doing? " =)

We're young heart ache to heart ache we will stand, 30 win season. actually maury's IBM 3000 has done an excellent job in acquiring players that play well as a unit.

    Next asset up!

1 yr or 2yr vet contracts are ideal when bringing along rookies. Call them training wheel contracts. You hope by the time those contracts are up those rookies are ready to start.

    Lamb »»» Lee

Would have been nice to get a 1st or 2nd rounder for Lee though ... Atleast

6-5 SGs were too tall for Lee to defend on some nights. He's not a starter and isn't worth paying starter's money.

    What signals tanking?

It's not tanking lol... Lee is undersized and we are trying to play Lamb and we still have Martin at this point.

Let's calm down fans... geeze

Why is everybody coming up with theory's one why they did it? Lol its been said, it was to clear cap for asik. It doesn't have anything to do with tanking, signing dragic or trading for gordon. It was just to sign asik, i'm sure the rockets talked to the bulls and told them they would release lee, which free's up cap for us and gives them a chance to sign him if they won't match asik's offer. Plain and simple.

seriously tho, Courtney Lee isn't that good. he's one of those sometimes good. very inconsistent. one thing rockets don't do is develop a young into a superstar. hopefully we finally see that in Lamb.

don't even mention Gordon, could be another inception. but he did compliment Houston and out of all the offering teams, rockets have the best chance to contend. he said he wants to contend and he already knows rockets is a good org. something not Dwight Howard would say ever.

Why do you fans want to keep Lee!!!!????!! Seriously makes no sense. We have lamb and Martin. Do you want to keep Lamb on the bench? This logic is mind boggling and flat out idiotic.

Why did not we trade him for a 2nd rounder?

"To get something you like, you've got to give up something," Morey said. "It wasn't a situation where we were down on Trevor. It was really about that we think Courtney has a big future." Aug 11 2010.

Ok. We have Lamb. I am on board with him getting accelerated minutes. He has the length to be decent on defense. Too bad he will be learning defense from watching Kevin Martin play. Hopefully he does his own thing on defense and listens to the coaches. LOL!
