If only he could manage in hindsight. You make decisions based on the information you have at the time.

I saw Jeremy Lin outplay Johnny Flynn the entire preseason. Heck anybody with a brain could see it

If morey is offering a similar contract as one offered to dragic, that's starter's salary for both Lin and Lowry. And if Lowry is traded, I don't think Lin is our answer at the PG spot.

Lin, Asik, Josh Smith...maybe I need to see the big picture, but I'm not really feeling these reported moves by Morey.

Wow! Then what are you doing here. You should be a coach or a gm. Someone needs to hire you.

Lin (to Morey): Oh, I don't really wanna sign with your team. I just came back to show what you coulda had. And by the way, how are Jeff Adrien, Jonny Flynn, Williams, or Thabeet workin' for ya?

lol so true, Morey could have had Lin( for cheap right now), and let Dragic walk. This is why i dont consider Morey the best GM in the NBA

anybody with a brain could see Lin was better than Flynn. Morey was obsessed with Flynn's contract so bad, that we lost a good player for nothing, and now we have to overpay

    In Morey we Trust

Ahem, I also was chanting, "You want to win, put Jeremy Lin in!" and "Just cut Flynn" and the like. He was our best preseason PG, albeit in limited minutes. He darn near turned trash time into a W against the Spurs, all by himself, but the refs swallowed their whistles rather than let him send the game ino OT from the foul line--and he'd clearly been fouled while shooting at the buzzer. No biggie; it was preseason. Anyway, I'm one of those who was not at all surprised by Linsanity, and would love to have him back. Kid's got a lotta heart.

That said, I hope Gogi gets on board STAT.

    Lowry/Lin
    Martin/Lamb
    Parsons/White
    Scola/Motie
    Asik/Camby

    I'd watch that team.

    This.

After he more or less single-handedly tied the Spurs game by scoring 6 quick points towards the final minutes of the game, I thought for sure he was on lock... Then he was released...

Getting hit with comments that Rockets offered Dragic, will offer Lin $40 mil. Not true, accourding to source.

    lol hindsight.

Letting Lin go is the most sensible thing at that time for Houston because:
    1. Flynn had a GUARANTEED contract while Lin did not.
    2. While Lin outplayed Flynn, if we kept him he would not have played much at all since we were already stacked in the PG position. He would be playing behind Lowry and Dragic.
    3. Nobody really expected Linsanity to happen. At that time, Lin was just a 3rd-string PG. Heck, even NY almost traded Lin to the Raptors before the winning streak.

All of their contracts run through 2014-15 season which would be the season when Lin's contract jumps up. I think they're still on the books.
