Exactly. The bridge between him and McHale is burned. There's no fixing it.

So would the Knicks be able to offer 30 million to match the Rockets?

I'd prefer Lin in NY and Dragic in HOU. I suspect this is just about showing Dragic that this is a buyer's market for PGs. The important thing is to show Dragic's agent that it's a credible threat that we take someone else since Lin is comparable to Dragic. It may even be a good move if we can lock down a good PG down with a well structured contract. This really is exposing how bad NY's mistake was with Amare's ridiculous contract. They just have little leverage given the way the backloaded contract loophole gives an advantage to the signing team not the matching team.

I don't think Lin's TOs are too much to freak out about. PGs that are aggressive will be turnover prone in their first years in the league.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but NOBODY, other than ppl in Houston, want to see Lowry and Dragic play basketball.

Dragic and Lowry who? You guys act like they are some kind of super stars. Guess what, Rockets had BOTH guys last year and they couldn't even make playoffs.

Lin may be a slightly less player, for now. But he has proven marketing potential, which Dragic and Lowry could only dream to have.

Les is a much smarter man than you idiots. 7-8 Mill for Lin is nothing, heck, selling some extra 5-6 ads in Toyota Center may already pay it off.

Alternatively, they are better off signing a capable FA PG (Dragic or Lin) and trading Lowry for value than they are keeping Lowry since there aren't FA options better than Dragic or Lin.

    Basically...

Dragic or Lin + Whatever you get for trading Lowry

    is better than

Lowry + other guys you might be able to sign in free agency.

One thing Les has proven is that marketing and lining his pockets are far more important than winning, unless you listen to the BULL**** PR that the Rockets spin about being predatory......LOL.

Follow the money tree, you will see Les with a watering can there camped underneath the leaves, every single time.

Wait so one game for Dragic is enough....
But one game for Lin means he's still a fluke!

So, how does Omer Asik help with marketing and lining Les Alexander's pockets?

I think Dragic is the better athlete and passer, but Lin is not that far behind, and both are better than Lowry.

I used to like relentless Lowry.
And then he started jacking up bad threes like Rafer.

If Dragic is a 9 at his best, Lin is an 8 - not too shabby, but it sucks that we actually take a step backwards in talent.

But it doesn't suck for Les who will fool the ignorant masses into coming out to watch the Linsanity.

You have to think about in context. We are about to lose Dragic. So getting Lin should be Moreys plan. I have no problem with it. I just wanted Dragic back. It does wonders for Les and Moreys asian fanbase. I am not worried about that though. Lin would be decent if they are able to snag him. The more important question now is New York able to match and is Goran leaving us for sure. Thats more important because of the situation Morey has put the Rockets in.

Yeah that was a great game by Dragic.

But you stated there isn't a single thing in basketball Lin is better than Dragic at. My answer to that is: Entertainment. Jeremy Lin is more entertaining to watch.
