Actually, 67% of his shots were jumpers. Dragic, coincidentally also had 67% of his shots as jumpers. Like I said, they were very very similar players.

Based on Nash, Felton and Duhon, we can conclude that the D'Antoni system does have significant statistical impact on a point guard's stats, with a significant emphasis on assists and turnovers. However, we can also conclude that there is a baseline level talent in order for the impact to be significantly positive. Felton met the baseline level talent but not Duhon.

Despite just 10 games of data for Jeremy Lin, we can see that he is a different type of point guard. Jeremy Lin lives in the paint. This is reflected in his significantly higher turnovers and free throw attempts and lower number of 3-point attempts. Using the data above and our conclusion on the D'Antoni system, Jeremy Lin's points per game is not inflated but his assists are. We can also conclude the Jeremy Lin is not a fluke and appears to be better than Felton and Duhon.

The data tells us that even in Felton's and Duhon's best 10 consecutive games, they did not have the scoring impact Jeremy Lin had. The data tells us that even if Jeremy Lin's production starts to go down, it is unlikely to regress significantly. It also tells us the best 10 consecutive game stretches of each player above are actually more of a function of the number of minutes played. It tells us that in reduced minutes, Jeremy Lin will still produce significant numbers.

I think Lowry, Dragic, and Lin are all comparable right now. It'll be interesting to see where they all will be ranked in a few years though. With Asik setting screens I do think Lin would do well here.

3. Dragic - still considering us

I think Lin is a bit behind all of them, and is no slouch, but his upside is limited, he is not as good as the top 3 above....but he would be a nice consolation prize I guess.

one report said that morey's already said good luck to his agent. i doubt dragic will be back.

as long as who is better. i view lin is better based on making his teammates better.

You also realize that the two players you compared initially??? Nash statistically had his worst season handling the rock...but still managed assisting at a high clip...Nash is a HOF player...

Chalmers..played terrible, even thru most of the playoffs...but managed to step up huge down the stretch of the finals...

Lowry was having one of the best years as a PG before that infection ruined his rhythm and allowed us to discover Dragic as a starting option...Dragic during his run...was just as unconscious as the linsanity run in NY...J Lin is a good player...i think he is a decent back up for a playoff team, but a bench player on playoff team.

OK so you agree that Dragic will get in the 8 million range. The bridge IS NOT BROKEN between us and Dragic...not sure why you think that. Now if we expect Dragic to fall in the 8-10 range why the heck would we be offering Lin 6-7.

Not saying he doesn't turn the ball over, he definitely does at a high clip. Just illustrating that it's not so bad where he's not effective.

Memorable moments?

I admit I haven't followed as close attention to the NBA as past years but I don't recall Dragic dropping 38 points on the Lakers (in a win), Dragic nailing a buzzerbeating 3 or Dragic with such a memorable dunk it made Sportscenter Top 10.
