    You're an idiot.
Your vendetta against Jeremy Lin is pathetic.
I'd agree with everyone on this board that Lin is not worth $8 mil, but he's not a fluke.

This is such a Les Alexander move :)

Holy crap, Lowry's numbers were pretty comparable too, and he has a favorable contract. Go tell him he's your starter and let's go.

How are we going to get Gordon? If he signs here he and Martin are going to have a huge fight over who starts and who sits. Asik is still too raw to make a big difference. Jeremy Lin? Asian community.

Come on now. These off-season moves are fillers.

I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but it just might be enough.
Then again, you would run the risk of losing both Dragic and Lee, while you're waiting on the Knicks and Bulls to match the offer-sheets for Lin and Asik. Doesn't sound like too great a plan.

Wtf, if you're going to give lin the same offer you gave dragic, give goran 1 mil more and walk away with the better player.

Knicks are panicking lol. Landry Fields just got offered a 20mil, 3 year deal to cockblock their SnT offer for Nash. They'll likely lose out on Nash and won't match Fields. They'll match Lin no matter what.

i don't understand why ppl use dragic >>> lin. they are very similar except maybe dragic has better D. However, I pay more attention on the leadership of a PG oriented offense. lin made players around him better. can you say dragic made his teammates better during his start?

The guy basically got Wally Pipped. I don't think working hard is a problem for KLow. Plus, there's no way Lin comes here as a back up. You don't pay your starting point 5.7mil and his sub 8mil.

I think another part of this pursuit of Lin is the necessity of it.

There is a good chance that Morey's machinations for this offseason include Lowry and have been made with the assumption that Dragic was coming back. Now that this is not the case, that doesn't mean he can/should put the breaks on whatever discussions he is already engaged in to move Lowry, so a new starting PG is needed. And Morey thinks it could be Lin.

We know Morey valued Lin, and we have all seen what Lin could do (he is single handedly responsible for saving the Knicks' season when Carmelo and Amare were injured and thus taking a lottery pick out of our hands).

Try to remember how much everyone was wishing they had Lin instead of Dragic back when Lin was nailing clutch game winning shots, scoring near 30 points and having big assist numbers.

It's funny because people actually think Morey wants Lin. He's doing it to **** the Knicks.

There was a reason the Rockets released Lin earlier, because in practice he wasn't a wowing player... do you think the Rockets have changed their opinion that much on him? Both Lin and Rockets officials believed that Lin would be playing in the China league that season. If the Rockets could get him for under 8/7 mill I would be all for it.

Lin was one of my favorites during pre-season and training camps. I have been following him ever since I saw him play in a Harvord-UConn game on ESPN3.

That would make no sense at all. Rockets are in the Western conference, so what if they destroy the Knicks and the Bulls with the Lin/Asik poison pills? That wouldn't effect us in the slightest and it actually makes everything easier for the Miami Heat to repeat.

Weren't we like 23rd in attendance last season? Lin would definitely change that for the better.

I guess you didn't read the thread where MARTIN and 2-3 of our young guys are rumored to be on the table for a Gordon S&T. Does giving up on young talent sound like tanking to you?

And if Asik isn't going to make a big difference then why would we pay big money to get him? No point if we're just tanking.

I do think Le$ is willing to pay Lin just as much as Dragic because of Lin's marketability, which is, in fact, a money move over a basketball move. But still that doesn't mean we're tanking.

And no one that has played a whopping 65 career games has ever improved on something like turnovers.

I don't know if he's better than Dragic. I am concerned that they're (Rockets FO) is setting themselves up for a very rough season. If they sign Lin and they don't find buyers for Lowry and/or Martin and/or Scola, you're going to have some very disgruntled players on this team that's likely to finish in the same spot. Good enough to finish above .500...not good enough to win a playoff series if they could even get there...and not bad enough to get a draft pick that can help.
