    Ok, I was not expecting this.

    I think this is the movie Idris Elba should have been given.

    I mean, seriously. Madea? Really? Playing Morgan Freeman?

    Well here it is anyway..

    I don't want to pass judgement on Tyler Perry. I mean, I don't generally like the movies he makes, but I've never seen him in a truly dramatic role, so he could do very well, for all I know.

    But man, it would have been amazing to see Idris Elba play it.

    I will probably see it because Mrs. SwoLy has <s>forced</s> invited me to see all the other Cross movies... what with whomever actor it may have been. :eek:

    I really like the Alex Cross novels. Will probably see the movie. The bad guy in the movie is Matthew Fox aka Jack from the tv show "Lost."

    You know, based strictly off of that trailer, Perry didn't come off as too bad.
    I'm not a fan of his movies by ANY stretch, but this may be the first one that I make it all the way through

    I'll see the movie but he doesnt groove with the Alex Cross I picture. Doesnt mean he cant do a good job but there are better options.

    This is worse than Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Cruise is short but he can nail action.

    I just think his writing kind of sucks and is formulaic

    What has Idris Elba done besides the Wire to get so popular? Fans keep wanting him for huge roles like in the Django movie and this one. It's pretty ridiculous.
