2013. By that time he may just say, screw it, I'm staying here.

Okay, I don't like the idea of giving Lin a large contract...

But, the GARM was singing a different tune back when Lin was exploding and Dragic was still backing up Lowry. In fact, I remember quite clearly how, after Dragic started a few games, how many of you shouted down those who created threads titled "Dragic>Lin". it wasn't until Dragic had started for several weeks and Lin had been injured in NY for a while that people started holding him up as better than Lin and stopped lamenting the fact that we had Lin go.

So, can we all have a little perspective? Many of you blasting Morey for considering this signing of Lin were the exact same people blasting him for letting Lin get away just a couple months ago.

What makes you think so? We can offer Lin a contract that would totally screw them over in a few years. Asik 'em, so to speak.

This is ridiculous, both Lin and Dragic are heavily overrated by their fans, 10m for Dragic? **** that I'd rather keep Lowry.

I'd give Lin the same contract as Asik and see what happens.

On offense he has great vision. But he consistently gets toasted on cuts in every game i have seen him play. He rarely gets beat one on one because hes pretty quick and sems to have good anticipation, but when his guy doeant have the ball...ugh

Can't believe I'm feeling bad for Lowry now. Knowing you're only wanted by your team for trading purposes.

If they give Lin $8mil/year, I'd rather give $10mil/year to Dragic and call it 1/5 of starters complete

The only way Lowery is going anywhere is if he's needed for the big trade.
He's under contract, he's real good, and he will be happy starting.

Starting to worry over our PG situation, now we are offering Lin, Gogi money?

Does this show us that a disgruntled Lowry might be held onto?

Or if traded I sure hope we don't open with (vomits in mouth) Fortson as our starting PG!

    Quick go find MOOCHIE!!!!!!!!

I don't like being bullish on Lin. The kid is essentially still a "rookie" having played limited minutes in the past two years. He's definitely got great upsides and is extremely talented. But nevertheless, he needs one to two more seasons of regular play to get there. He's close, perhaps even an above-average PG but he's not quite in the Lowry, Dragic and Irving range yet (basically, borderline All-Star) to demand such high salary.

This. GARM blasted Morey for letting Lin go(myself included).

    Jonathan Feigen ‏@Jonathan_Feigen
Other matching numbers: Those on Twitter that ripped the Rockets for letting Lin go and those ripping them for trying to bring him back.

Im thinking the exact same thing. Id rather Dragic but if we lost him Lin wouldn't be a terrible alternative.
