You do know that this is the year 2012 and Marcus Camby is 38 right?

He's not a Starting Center anymore.

$8 mil for 3 years for a 7 foot shotblocking defensive specialist is not a desperate reach. And he's only 25, not 38. Who knows when the music stops, so-to-speak, with Camby. You can't run him out 40 minutes a night at his age. We needed another legit center.

Besides Lowry, remember we also have Shaun Livingston. He used to be a starter...

Um, you do realize this is pretty much the same alleged attitude problems Brooks had. Two good guys Lowry & Brooks all of sudden have "attitude" & "professionalism" issues and need to be traded. I think it speaks more about the organization's handling of contracts than the players

I agree, I just do not believe that Asik is that starting center.

I guess we will find out if Chicago matches.

Personally, I think the way it goes down is Chicago offers us Noah, and we take him and they match Asik.

That is an opinion. Who knows how Asik will do with starter minutes? He's worth the risk at 5 million.

I don't ever remember shaun livingston ever being a starter. his best years was when he was a backup to sam cassel in clipperland.

Even tho it would mean Booz I hope DaDa is spot on. Lee SnT included; have to take Rip back. I still do it (with Luis and Martin).

I remember you saying the same thing about Lowry when they traded Brooks. You were wrong then too.

Perhaps - I still don't think Lowry is all that great. But he did have a good 3/4ths of a year as the starting PG.

Remember, he came straight out of high school. Cassell was grooming him to become the starter. Shaun actually started more games than Cassell in his last fateful year ... btw, they did start some games together, too.

Last year he started half the games...but not exclusively as a PG.

If the Suns are offering 8-9 and the Rockets let's say only 7, considering the savings in taxes for staying in Houston, we shouldn't be that far apart.

Goran's attitude is worse than Lowry's. These Euros feel so damn entitled

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...dragics-return-to-rockets-just-not-happening/

The Rockets have little hope left that they can bring back point guard Goran Dragic with the sides so far apart on contract proposals that the meeting on Monday ended with the Rockets ready to move on, a person with knowledge of the process said.

“Goran’s not coming back,” he said. “It’s just not happening.”

ESPN.com reported on Monday that Dragic was seeking a contract that would begin at 10 million per season, much more than the Rockets were willing to offer.

The Rockets met on Sunday with Hornets guard Eric Gordon, a restricted free agent after reaching agreement with Bulls center Omer Asik on an offer sheet.

The Rockets are still among the teams in talks with the Orlando Magic about a trade for Dwight Howard, according to a person with knowledge of the talks said. Howard has said he would become a free agent after next season unless he is traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
