I'm a little confused... If Howard is not traded to the Nets this season, will the Nets have max money to spend on Howard next summer? I'm thinking no....IT would be much less than the max... Wouldn't this help the Rockets or whoever wants to rent Howard retain him since the He would have to take a HUGE pay cut to go to the Nets?
What good would bynum be with dwight on the team, so its either they want dwight or they don't. There not gonna get dwight and keep bynum with him too, theres not enough possessions in a game for dwight, kobe and bynum to be happy.
Fact is that ORL lost a chance to get value for Dwight. Teams can now wait on the Howard trade till trade deadline. The Lakers are not going to give up Bynum without having Howard sign an extenstion. The Mavs this year lack the cap space to pull Howard to Dallas...and lack younger assets. The Rockets have a team stacked with assets. But the issue is ORL mgm doesnt value the assets with the same value Morey does. The Hawks,..just became players in the game...A young star in Al Horford might be something that may entice a team like ORL to give up Howard. Once again. ATL doesnt do the deal till Howard extends... Bottom line is that ORL and its mgmt lost a really good opportunity to get the players they needed via the draft this year..and start moving forward from the Howard saga. This drama will take a tremendous toll on the organization and its players. They handled this situation as worse as any professional organization could have done. Everything was out in the open...from player infighting...to coaching/GM being fired...to flip flopping on Howard's part. Professional dont have Soaps...but Howard has brought Drama to a whole knew level. Officially taking the torch from the most hated player Lebron.
I'm saying they probably wouldn't even deal for Howard if it costs them Dwight. They like Bynum more than Dwight ... well at least Buss does.
You could say the same thing about Howard, but, CF's has been jerking off to that idea for months now.
If Dwight was smart, he would come out and say he would sign the extension if traded to the Lakers. He shouldn't worry about Shaw teasing that he is his wannabe clone. He would be right at home with Kobe, the Jordan wannabe clone
No, Lopez is a very smart, quality center. The Rockets would have to put a shot blocking PF next to him, but he would be way better than Asik. DD
Nets agree to 3 year, $15.7M deal with Mirza Teletovic http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6978527&postcount=6
I say maintain an offer of Scola, Martin, Lowry (and signing Goran but you better pony up the cash if needed) and/or Patterson - Pick some...might throw in a few other scraps but basically that's it. And no bad contracts back. If it doesn't go through, oh well.

He's got the tools, but he is just not good. It may be his mental makeup, but he just does not have what it takes to play big. Rebound numbers are terrible, which everyone knows this. Whether he would be better is debatable. One is good on offense, the other on defense. Judging by last year, I'd take the boards and defense over the points and assists from the center position. The same applies with the current roster as is, although it is very likely it will change. I disagree that Lopez is "way" better, but that is your opinion. If he is better, it is only marginally.
Dwight is going to be a Laker. It's all but assured now - just a waiting game until Bynum is put on the table. Now we can finally all move on.
