LOL - I wanted Greene over Artest for the same reason I want to play the young guys now - Artest was and still is an idiot.

Never liked that guy and figured his personality would eventually blow up on the team.

I liked Batum from that draft better...too bad we didn't keep him.

Agreed, but when you see that they are injured, then you go young at that point.

We held on too long to Yao, and to Tmac.....probably to collect more of that insurance money to line Les' pockets.

Like we knew that Tmac's knee was beyond repair basically and that kobe would run into yao ming in the playoffs...?

the fact that he pinpointed those 2 players as the players that he was going to go all-out for, when they were never on anybody's radar before the playoffs, and he was only pursuing them because of a brief hot stretch in the playoffs, and was then willing to offer them a sizable contract based on that brief stretch, raised a huge red flag in my mind, and changed my opinion of him.

sorry, but that is MY opinion. that's what the OP asked for.

Once Yao went down in the playoffs the Org knew he was done.

Tmac - he screwed up his own knee.

So you wanted Greene over Artest for the same reason you want to play the young guys now. Good to note.

So DD wants to play Lamb and the like (players he doesn't like) because he thinks Artest is an idiot.

Yeah, that's fine. It's YOUR opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Doesn't change the fact that yours is r****ded.

and how do we know to go young if yao was still playing until the last playoff series? how would we go young with the roster stacked to win? and how do you know tmac screwed up his own knee? Maybe, just maybe, he actually got hurt and you shouldn't assume the worst.

You like all three of our picks and you don't like the GM who picked them because he won't play them and he has no plan? Doesn't he know Ron Artest is an idiot and because of that he should play the young guys?

I think through the course of this year. As you see players get increasingly frustrated within the organization and you see players outside of the organization have no willingness to come here because of their antics.

Weird how people are willing to go to Dallas, but not Houston. It's because of the culture that Cuban has created. Morey is so much entrenched in numbers that he doesn't realize how important perception is in any business.

I think having to select 3 picks into an already crowded roster and having little playing time to go around is a failure.

I am 100% okay with you and your very reasonable position.

I take issue with the idiots who lack a simple logic and reason, calling moves and trades that make no sense in the long or short run, just for the sake of change.

I take issue with the angry mob who must have someone to blame and need to have a scapegoat in order to appease thier bloodlust. "Argg, angry, someone must lose thier job for this!"

Most importantly I take issue at the people who adopt these stupid positions, then root for the Morey's failure, just so they can be right.

Yeah, I have no problem with that. Respect, like playing time, is earned...not given.

If you say idiotic things, isn't it only fair you be treated like an idiot?

It's pretty hard to accomplish that without Yao/Tracy talent level players, wouldn't you say?

If we somehow manage to get a player like Dwight to Houston 3-4 years after losing those two guys, for virtually NOTHING, will be an accomplishment in itself.

I was a Rocket fan long before I ever heard Morey's name...I'll be a Rocket fan long after he's gone.

Well we'll just have to see. Since the regular season starts tomorrow it might be tricky you are right. But I think McHale thinks like you honestly. He wants to play the young guys because Ron Artest is an idiot!
