Patting yourself on the back a little too soon are we?? Rockets have a much better deal than Nets, for sure. This is why the Magic GM is still shopping around before he decides.

Not really...my point was those of you that acted like "oh the Nets they have nothing at all to offer that Orlando would want" is stupid.

For Nets-Magic to progress on a Dwight Howard deal, a 3rd team needed to take Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade, league source tells Y!

    OMG... a 6'9 PF... Get'r done Maurry!

Give them Martin ($12.4 expiring= cap room), multiple draft picks (In addition to the ones they're recieving form Brooklyn) and hell let them pick whatever else on the roster to get it done. Why not, what do they (the Rox) have to lose?

No, the Nets do not have anything the Magic would want. Just because Orlando is using the Nets to up the ante from other teams does not mean that the Nets garbage is anything the Magic would actually want.

Try waiting until everything is done before feeling too smart.

If you have not heard Steven A. Smith's rant on the new Nets, this is the perfect time for a listen.

"They are coming to take over."

".....rats running around in penn station, below MSG"

Dude it's not about being too smart. Can you people not read? My point is don't act like Nets are offering garbage yet Rockets are offering something so awesome.

The rockets offer isn't great. The Nets offer is garbage. Might happen but doesn't make it great. Still garbage. If new Magic GM does that type of deal, he is garbage.

If you compare Lopez of last year to Curry at age 22, using per-36 stats since Curry played less mpg

    Curry: 20.2/6.7/54% shooting
    Lopez: 20.8/6.1/49% shooting

Neither play a lick of defense. Lopez have averaged more minutes, but then he got injured. So I'm not sure that stamina is going to return for a 7-footer.

Humphries is 6'10". the height paranoia on this board is borderline psychotic.

Lol, the Nets offer is garbage...

The Magic have little leverage with the way Dwight has screwed with them...the only possible way to raise Dwight's value is by involving other teams. Trust me, by "engaging" in talks with the Nets, it bumps up Dwight's value, but that also doesnt mean that the Nets have anything the Magic want. This is part of the game.

And that's exactly why the Magic GM is going to start engaging in talks with the Lakers, Hawks, Rockets, and Mavs....bc the Nets offer sucks.

Wow, that would be absolute highway robbery for Orlando. They get three great young players PLUS multiple first round picks to unload a malcontent player who doesn't want to be there???

If I'm Orlando, I pull the trigger on that in a heartbeat.

Also, don't kid yourself, this package is MUCH, MUCH better than anything the Rockets could put together.

Why even watch when you have advanced statistics? Besides both or over 22 now so I'm not sure where you're going with this one.

Not sure the Rockets really need him on the court, but man... the combination of Parsons and Humphries would just be incredible in terms of the reaction they get from the ladies. I mean, Parsons is the favorite among the local ladies (particularly younger ones) while Humphries is ladies enemy #1 in America. I would get Humphries just for this reason.

If you want the Rockets to have the same luck as the Nets then you need Les to sell the team to someone who will move them to LA or New York.

Why would Orlando want crappy contracts from Lopez and Humphries? And where exactly would these "pile of first round picks for the next half decade" come from?

Since you seem to watch both play, can you give me a detailed scouting report on why Lopez is the better player?
