This. I can't understand why people don't get that it's more about the money to him than it was playing in Brooklyn. Getting his way and going to Brooklyn would be having his cake and eating it to. It would be very difficult for him to walk away from all that extra cash. It's time to play a game of chicken with him; and it's a game we'll probably win, if he's still as greedy as he is today.
Question is, how far can this group go? Dragic/Duhon Lee/Richardson/Lamb Parson/White Scola/Davis Howard/Asik
We need a better 4-man, and the 2, but if we upgrade there, no reason we cant make the WCF( thats if everybody stays)
For some reason with Dwight trying so hard to move to Brooklyn makes me feel that he will be getting extra under the table from Jay-z and the russian owner
I've yet to see one good reason why the Rockets should trade for Dwight Howard. a) we give up all of our young, promising assets to get Howard for one season 2) when Howard leaves after the one whole season, we are back to square freaking one when it comes to putting a competitive team on the floor c) Say we win the West next season with Dwight... He leaves, fan excitement and enthusiasm plummet with his departure....and all we're left with is the memory of how good of a team we WERE when we had Dwight. NO! Winning the West one year, followed by another 7 years of rebuilding the team from scratch is NOT attractive. It boggles my mind how some of you actually WANT this to happen. Morey is delusional if he thinks the presence of Dwight in Houston is going to make other top players want to come to Houston. It's not Morey's or Alexander's fault. It's just the lay of the land. Houston doesn't have movie stars, or mega marketing $$, or anything these big time superstars look for.
