Yes, but Morey has likely stalled all Lowry/Martin/Scola talks to see if Orlando would like them part of the deal.

If Dwight is the clown we all think he is, he won't give other teams that hope. He'll leak a new, incredibly short and probably unrealistic list shortly.

Hennigan is between a rock and a hard place. If he deals Dwight now everyone will question his hiring, if he holds onto him and accepts a much less attractive offer later he'll get reamed.

Tough first few days on the job.

Why would the Magic trade him for Bynum? Bynum is unrestricted next year, just like Dwight. They don't wanna go through this with another player. If Bynum agreed to an extension, then maybe.

Dwight doesn't care about winning or else Brooklyn would be way down that list.

Dallas doesn't have anywhere near the outside appeal of Brooklyn. Not without Deron.

Bynum has indicated he's all about the dollars. Dwight is threatening to leave over his brand.

But can what any of those other teams offer? Can any of those teams trump a potential Rockets offer with all of our veteran and young pieces?? I really don't think so.

Yep, first thing Bynum said after the Lakers were eliminated: "I'll play anywhere."

Dwight last night: "I'll only play for one team."

Somebody is gonna swoop in out of nowhere and trade for Dwight and it won't be Houston

Indiana could. I think (Bima?) that they have the cap situation to let Hibbert go and then sign Eric Gordon and trade for Dwight. They have players that Orlando might covet.

    Completely irrelevant to his question.

I think ATL is going to go for it. Can offer Horford, picks & can now take back Hedo's contract. Plus, they have his buddy Josh Smith to convince him to stay.

I answered his question though. They have pieces. Darren Collison, Danny Granger, Paul George...

Most of what we are offering are veterans that we want to jettison anyway and young unproven players. The Pacers could offer the single best player between the two teams. I was pointing out the rest (signing Gordon, etc) to point why they would be willing to move players. They also have full control of their own picks.

lol, where did the hawks rumors come from? just because it's his hometown, doesn't mean he wants to play there. josh smith is from georgia too, and already requested a trade

I don't see him going to Atlanta. They seem to be consistently trying to cut dollars. Bad ownership imo.

It's not about cap space though. It's about building a package enticing enough to convince Orlando to trade Dwight. Outside of Granger and Paul George, who do the Pacers have that would convince Orlando to bite? David West? Darren Collison? George Hill (who they just signed to a 5 year deal)? None of those players meet what the Rockets bring to the table in terms of present and future potential. The Pacers don't strike me as a team who would be willing to gut their entire roster for a one-year rental. In fact, now that the Blazers, Warriors, and Nets have all backed out, I really don't see another threat outside of the Lakers that could give the Magic what they wanted in a deal.

Cap space is to be brought up next off-season, when Dwight becomes a free agent.

Source: With Nets out of equation, Mavs go to top of Dwight Howard's wish list. No other teams - Lakers included - on it. For now.
