Vegas has the Texans tied for 4th for best odds to win the upcoming Super Bowl. It isn't that far from a stretch

with a 3rd string QB, on the road, against one of the top 5 defenses, the texans had 4 turnovers, and still they only lost by 7?

And looking at various sportsbooks, the texans are in the top 5.
    above current champions the Giants.

The only thing holding this team back from being a top Super bowl contender is injuries. If there are no major injuries, this team will contend. As with everyother major player in the league. Hell, the Texans were arguably the best team in AFC last season before Shaub went down.

No one is jumping the gun. This team is for real. In fact, why don't you name 3defensive units in the league better suited than the Texans to stop the Packers.

Before you get started please note: The Texans were 1st in total defense, giving up on average 60 yards less a game then the team that beat the Packers in the playoffs (Giants). AND 2nd in passing and rushing yards per game.

And seriously why bring up the Packers? They're in the NFC anyways.

    1. Patriots
    2. Ravens
    3a. Steelers
    3b. Texans

Slight edge goes to the Steelers because of Big Ben.

As I said before 3-1 in the nfc north will be the barometer.

Exactly, you would have thought they won the Super Bowl. Then the big let down that cost them a bye and momentum going into the playoffs. Losing is never a good strategy regardless of circumstances such as "protecting" players, etc. All out, all the time. This team is as talented as any in the NFL. It comes down to the little things now. They have to banish the residuals of a "losing culture."

I read this post multiple times; sweet memories. Seems like a lifetime ago. I want this again so bad I can taste it. But as I look at the Rockets today, the possibility of a championship seems very distant, very very distant. Even a first round exit sounds pretty good.
