I guess it doesn't hurt and hasn't backfired like some complainers were predicting. Asik signed. Let's see what Chicago does. Maybe a #BullsLetAsikGo twitter campaign will be next.
Let's disguise ourselves as Hornets fans and start a #nolahatesericgordon campaign. We'll surely get him then.
"Who needs Eric Gordon we have Austin Rivers now. I dont want him in New Orleans!" something like that right lol
Carl, what's not to complain about? I wasn't one who said it would backfire, but I was one who said it is desperate, pathetic and fruitless. There is also no way to prove that Twitter had anything to do with his signing the offer sheet. I'm sure the $25 mill had something to do with it. The Twitter campaign for Bosh was sort of fun and got the fanbase excited. But asking us to tweet about Omer fucking Asik? He averaged just less than 15 mpg last year. I am insulted that our GM actually asked us to tweet for this guy, and you should be too. I know Daryl is trying, but right now he is not doing. And we all know what the little green alien strong in the Force would say about that.
It worked on Omer Asik. So it must be a complete success. Because we all know how fabulous Omer is and that 15 million dollars had nothing to do with it in the final year.
