Dwight still thinks he can somehow get to the Nets. He does have a knack for making the improbable happen:

unless lakers are willing to give up bynum and gasol , they cant get dwight. Lakers dont have anyone else to trade with that horrible bench. Damn seems like houston has the best offer. We can give them Asik also as center and resign camby for backup

I hope some team comes from out of no where to get Dwight. I'm not cool with blowing up the whole team for a rental

Orlando's bargaining position is getting weaker and weaker with all of this stuff. You know Morey is still interested, but the package the Rockets were willing to offer before the draft has to be a lot more than what the Rockets are offering now.

F***it, lets just give orlando anyone they want besides parsons and lamb and rent dwight for a season. If the new CBA is as deadly as it looks, dwight wont have many choices to relocate since CBA will rape any team that tries to get him if over limit. Looking at you LA.

Lakers are the rockets only threat now for Howard with Bynum and Gasol but I dont see them pulling the trigger.

I would really hope so. Morey is a master at leverage, but I hope he doesnt let his love for howard blind him.

Good piece by Hollinger on why it's still worth the risk

    Here's the Rockets' snippet:

It's pretty much down to us and the Lakers, unless a surprise team enters the race. Once the Nets acquire Joe Johnson, they are out.

Give Orlando Anyone they want. Morey can always find role players. He's proven that!!! He've got the best depth on the team.

If Howard leaves, that will create cap room after next season.

Ship them Martin, Lowry, Morris, Patterson, Montiejunas, Lamb, Jones, Scola, Parson, draft picks, etc.... I'd tell Orlando pick 2 out of the 3 power forwards. Take all of the shooting guards. Take all of the point guards. Take every center on the roster. Pick one of either Parson or White! Of course Asik, Lee, and Dragic could not be traded.

The Rockets would have a heck of a twin tower situation!!! Howard and Asik!!!

    Howard
    Asik
    Parson or White
    Lee
    Dragic

and whoever was left over after the trade.

If Howard get's up and leaves next season, at least the Rockets went all in for him. That earn RESPECT!!!

What if the blazers sign Hibbert and flip him for Dwight?

    07/02/2012 5:05EST PM Bill Ingram:

The Golden State Warriors are all but out of the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, according to a report by Scott Howard-Cooper on NBA.com. The acquisition of Andrew Bogut was cited as a primary reason when Warriors owner Joe Lacob spoke the media on Monday.

“I never say never, but we have somebody called Andrew Bogut,” said Lacob. “He is, in our opinion, one of the three best centers in the whole NBA, and in most people’s opinion. And he wants to be here and is a great fit. We think we have a really nice nucleus now going forward.”

If the Warriors are out, it could mean Houston is one step closer to getting Howard, whether he wants to be there or not.

joe johnson to nets is almost complete says reports. If dwill resigns, Nets will be out of the running for dwight because of CBA taxes next season. ALl contending teams will be stacked and paying taxes. I doubt any of them would sign dwight and handicapped themselves with 60 mill in taxes since the rate would be double its current tax rate. Howard would lose alot of money also and most likely would resign. If he doesnt then we turn into the bobcats
