HOMOSEXUALITY IS EVIL, but idolatry (thinking your possessions mean everything or even you ownself),treating people less fortunate with distastes (poor people are nothing be greedy and lazy free-loaders), coveting your neighbor's positions (his/her cars, their toys, their hot-looking spouse, and their quickly turning hot sons/daughters), bearing false witness against others (basically accusing a person of things that aren't true, sort of like calling someone of being thief, traitor, murderer or terrorists when they aren't - you aren't a witness to it ... a real life example, I could use Michael Jackson or Casey Anthony. Most people assume both were guilty of something, and in more extreme cases one is a murderer and one is pedophile. In reality, no one knows outside of the parties involved and you personally don't know if it is true or not. It wouldn't be kosher to accuse them of anything unless you have really good evidence or you saw it with your own eyes. I know that sounds complicated, but a big problem with that people often say, claim, or support certain things out of thin air or on their own cognition, even though it could be totally wrong, especially without thought). Adultery and fornication, I don't even think those things really exist or matter anymore.
While I'm glad Mr. Cooper decided to "come out of the closet," really, should anyone care? I'll be glad when folks like him feel no need to make statements like this.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, we already knew. SRSLY, why do they need to "let people know" these things...? Oh, I know... he's got a movie, book, or CD coming out (no pun intended) as well, right? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hGq7GiZ0N-8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> In regards to the "is homosexuality a sin?" thing... come on... it's a ONE WAY STREET back there, yo.
If you have a tattoo, you lose your right and privilege as to where you can be buried. Denial of entrance into an institution, isn't equal to legality.
I am intolerant of one thing and one thing only: intolerance. I respect faith; I abhor bigotry. And now I'm done. I'm trying not to do arguments on here anymore. I will advocate for basic civil rights and I will rail against bigotry, but I am not interested in arguing about it. I'll allow others to do that. Progress is here already and it is on the side of the just and that's good enough for me. Uncool to employ personal information shared here about one's health to bash him, no matter how much you don't like the person or his views. "But I'll be the bigger man" and drop it. Especially since "you resorted to insults and lost the fight." Later.
Blowjobs, cunnilingus and anal sex (each of which is included in the definition of sodomy) were only recently legalized in Texas, regardless of sexual orientation. And there is a movement to ban them again. So maybe being gay isn't illegal but gay sex was very recently illegal as was hetero sex other than straight up vaginal intercourse. The Bible also teaches us that to spill one's seed in any way but to procreate is a sin against God, and that it is as serious as "a man lying with a man." twhy was the only one on this board that ever purported to live a 'righteous' life in that way. The rest of you masturbators might as well be gay in the eyes of the Lord.
Actually texxx, I've just gone ahead and made you the 7th on my ignore list. It's nothing personal but I think it will reduce future aggravation for both of us. It's worked very well with the other 6 that enjoy such status.
Burial grounds are private and can discriminate as they please. No one was saying that homosexuality (as in, being one) was in legal question in the USA (at least not anymore, thank god). What was said is that some people do mind (and try to outlaw) other people's self-inflicted "sin". A better example would be a Jewish guy trying to get government rights/privileges taken away from or denied to people with tattoos. (or better yet, people with birthmarks)
L-O-L You started this "aggravation" by calling me a bigot. I wasn't even in the thread, yet you made a point of calling me out. If you think I'm going to bend over and take that abuse (pun fully intended in this thread), then you're wrong. I'm going to return fire, big boy. Then you decide to run away and put me on ignore. The height of comedy. HAVE A NICE DAY SWEETIE
Gross. I hate people who are gay and proud to be gay. Why is it not news that Paul Walker is straight? Why is his sexual preference an issue anyway? Who cares? Youre gay, good for you.
I don't see the difference with respect to 'outlaw' vs 'legality in question'. I don't see many people that care about and are trying to outlaw homosexuality. I don't think it is much of a question that in the USA, marriage is a religious institution. It has become mixed in with the government and caused problems. I see both groups as having apathy towards these types of 'sins' until the 'sinner' desires to enter the institution.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying when people feel the need to flaunt it and bring up their sexual preference in every single conversation.
