This is exactly what I hope they don't do. I hope they don't make a move simply for the sake of making a move.

Brook or Robin? And yes, I agree. (Altho if you could take the BL O into the OA D, then you'd have something terrific!)

I don't think you need to worry about that move. Lopez doesn't really meet any of the criteria given my McHale or Morey for what they are looking for in either a center, or in their big acquisition.

I wish Howard would outright say what he's going to do, at this point.

Unless you're renting LeBron James, a 1 year rental is not worth all that.

And yes will take that gamble. If he leaves, then we finally rebuild and end this missing the playoffs by a hair and picking 14 horse manure bs crap. If Morey somehow convinces him to stay? Well.. Lol you know how that goes. Even if he doesn't want to sign an extension with us, we would still have the option of getting somethin in return for him.

Again, if all else fails and he ditches us, we REBUILD.

I'd choose this path and have a shot at having the best center in te NBA than collecting mid round picks year after year!

Can we just let this horse die, why would we a)give up a ton of prospects for b) a player who will be gone in a year and c) that may miss the better part of next season.

Because it's better than going into the season with another group of the same mediocre players and finishing with the 14th pick again?

I do have some concerns that Dwight may take an extended amount of "rehab" time coming back from his back surgery if he goes to a team he doesn't want to be with. So you could end up getting him for much less than even a season of on the court time. Still there is also the possible reward that he can't pass up the money the Rockets could offer him vs who ever in free agency, and by that time the team he wants to go to might not even have the cap space still. Basicly we have to give up a bunch of assets to be in the exact position Orlando is already in right now.

dunno why nobody here would want Lopez. he is better than Asik by far, soft at times, but can be very effective when on his game.

All of you can keep trying to convince yourselves that Howard will somehow end up here, but I'd suggest devoting your time to more worthwhile causes.

    Not. Gonna. Happen.

You all are just like Morey. You just keep spinning your wheels.

Thanks, my mistake. Browsed through it and didn't realize he changed the deal.

    From Chad Ford's chat..

    Great minds think alike.. Hehe

    "Michael (Orlando)

If you're Rob Hennigan and had Bynum/Fillers from LA and Lowry/Martin/Lamb/White/Jones, which one do you take and why?
    Chad Ford**(1:43 PM)

You take Bynum. Only player even remotely close to Howard. However, I still believe a Rockets packable of Lowry/Martin/Lamb/White and/or Jones is better than anything else they will get offered. You know who could offer the best trade though? The Michael (Orlando)

You know who could offer the best trade though? The Clippers if they packaged Blake Griffin + DeAndre Jordan or Eric Bledsoe ... they'd get him. Problem is, seems like Dwight only wants to go to Brooklyn.

Howard is a flake. Let him be someone else's headache. Let's see what these young guys can do.

Time to move on...price too high, risk too high, and damaged goods in DH.
