And with that the odds of success at calling his bluff would be at an all-time high. Out of his wishlist, only Dallas would have cap space, and why would he go there to play with no other star because Nowitzki will be on the fade out? why would he go there to earn less money?

If the Nets move on, I really like our changes of being able to keep him long term.

Does Howard want to be paired with Williams, or does he want to be the face of their franchise if he leaves for the Nets?

He screwed himself not taking the ETO. Nets had positioned themselves to offer him the max. Looks unlikely that they will be in this position next year. He'd already be throwing away millions, and now the team he wants has little leverage to get him.

He signed the ETO to give an extra year to the Nets to try and acquire him and get the full dollar amount. I don't think he's going to leave the money on the table.

Personally, I don't want him anymore. A loveable superstar that has thrown away a lot of goodwill.

for a marginal player, the market makes a difference. for the superstar, they get blue chip endorsements wherever they are. he's already making 'max' endorsement money. going to NY wouldn't be a raise in endorsements, it would just be a pay cut on his salary, unless orlando agreed to a S&T.

I think he'd be the face no matter what, and a team of Howard, Gerald Wallace, and whatever other crap Billy King throws in is no better than the Orlando Magic.

Do not want unless there's an extension in the works. Bit of a rut we're in though, we have an over glut in PF's and SF's, and alot of our plans are contingent on other moves. Hopefully things starting working out in the Rocket's favor but I seriously don't see anything happened for another 9 days..

See Kevin Durant. He's in a "small market" yet is still marketable.

Might be a little different internationally maybe, though REAL NBA fans know who he is, everywhere.

Can someone explain something to me?

How is it that Dwight acts like he is in control at all? I get he's immature and probably wrong, but isn't that obvious? What's the point? He's NOT signing with Orlando, why wouldn't they just make the best deal? I don't get why, at this point, it's even relevant where he wants to play. Am I missing something?

I've seen a ton of Durant tee's and jerseys in Houston lately. The OKC snapbacks also.

As stated if you're good, they will come.

If you're Orlando's GM, would you refuse to trade him and take a chance on him re-signing? The Lakers, Nets, and Rockets will probably be capped out. He'd have to take the MLE to join his preferred destination. Where can he go besides Dallas?

He wants attention. What baffles me is his attempt to get the player's association involved to make this a legal matter. Does the guy even have a case or is this going to be another public blunder on his part?

It is simple.... like Jerry West said, Dwight is not going to give up guaranteed money, especially getting older and coming off of back surgery.

Dwight has played his hand when he picked up his option, he simply is not willing to give up that guaranteed money.... which means there is a good chance he re-signs with Orlando if he is not dealt, or re-signs for where ever he is traded to. The Nets have essentially gutted there team of assets... which means a number of teams can offer more than the Nets.

Dwight can "leak" to the media that he will only play in NJ and is unhappy Houston and Dallas are after him..... but eventually everyone knows there is a high possibility that he is crying wolf.

He does not care ...... he wants his guaranteed money AND to be on the one team of his choosing..... it does not work like that......

I'd like to play a no-limit poker game with Dwight Howard. And I'm no good at poker.

Dwight Howard: "Dealer, make sure the next three cards are an Ace of Spades and a King and a Jack - I really need to get that Royal Flush, that is the ONE HAND i really want and need to beat you, don't care about the rest."

Dwight said he was being "black male-d", as in being unfairly criticized due to racial bias because Dwight is an African American man, a.k.a. a "black male."

So freaking tired of this guy. Go to Brooklyn and enjoy getting your ass handed to you by the Heat year in and year out.

    WALK AWAY FROM HOWARD..
No real low post moves...and he's a center
Can not create his own shot if he needed to.
To sum it all up,Dwight Howard will not add that much to the Rockets.Asik and Camby are 2 of the top 5 rebounders in the league.

Houston does not need Howard...Just walk away from him Morey..wtf
