Is Ersan Ilyasova (UFA) a "McHale" type of guy to pair with Asik?

Ersan is a legit PF....rebounds plays defense, and bonus is that he can knock down shots...from distance and midrange...

He is currently better than every PF we have on our team...and better by a mile...Ersan is clearly worth between 7-9 mil per year...he is that good...imo...much better than Asik...and Ersan might be willing to join a team like the Rockets...especially if Omar is here as welll

 

get rid off ppat first then sign this guy. he is a double double machine that is rebounding at high rate and has range to spread the floor like bosh

I would say if Scola and one of the younger PF's can be moved first in a trade, that would help out a lot. Let's say it is P-Pat as well. That would leave you with D-Mo, White (who can likely also play SF), Jones and Morris. If we assume Morris is not going to be a contributor anyways, then all I would want to take away from that group is Jones in another trade and then I think we would be right on with the volume of PF's. Especially since D-Mo could play some minutes at center when Houston goes small and White could play minutes at SF when Houston goes big.

 

I rahter get him then Asik! Play two PF at the same dam time, all white players on the court at the same dam time!

 

he would be great at SF in McHales system.

UTAH Jazz..and their franchise was one of the most successful teams...infact if Im not mistaken...they beat our lowly Rockets and actually got into the playoffs...

 

Yes, my friend...you're absolutely correctly. However, they had a Hall of Fame Coach...and we...well, we have Kevin McHale.

 

I would love to have him on this team. He is one of my favorite players, and is verry underrated.

 

They got to the playoffs without their HOF coach...McChoke has no excuses...and btw...I dont like Mchale as a coach...

 

I was thinking the same thing this morning... 3 Turks on the same team.

 

He would be the best PF on this team immediately and that's including Scola. Basically he does everything you'd want the others to do. I think he's flying way under the radar right now, but with that said, I don't think Morey looks his direction even if he loses out on Asik.
I think they're hoping for D-Mo to develop into everything Ilyasova is and more.
They're both pretty mobile, long, rangy players. Both can shoot well from the outside and rebound.
Right now I'd say Ilyasova is better defensively and more physical in the post but D-Mo is younger, taller, and actually has a better back to the basket game.
Therefore, there's no point in spending big bucks for somebody that's similar to what we have....hopefully.

I've never seen Ersan play. Is he better that AK47, Andrei Kirilenko?

 

If we manage to unload our glutton of PF's, I would love to have him. Decent rebounder with the ability to knock the long ball. Heh, good fantasy player too!
