god damn nothing makes you guys happy. Eric Gordon is a young star shooting guard and yet people here still say " dont want". This kid is a rising star, you're going to have to give up a lot to get him.
Is this the kind of trick that Morey would pull to surround Dwight with talent? Could a trade of Lowry+Morris+Scola+Lamb+Dal pick for Dwight Then turn around and trade Martin+White+Jones for Gordon? Dragic/Livingston Gordon/Lee Parsons Patterson/Dmo Dwight/Camby ??
Gordon is easily worth the max on pure basketball talent. You have to roll the dice and hope he stays healthy.
That's the perfect definition of "asking for too much." And Patterson would be a great compliment PF to play along-side Dwight. He's solid defensively and can hit mid-range jumpers with very good consistency.
No one is untouchable bit the players I would have the hardest time letting go would be Lamb, White, Motiejunas and Parsons.
gordon is a freakin' stud. nows the best chance to buy low and watch the kid blossom into a mini-kobe. some of you would say no to lebron because you'd be crying about having to give up courtney lee.
Newsflash: In case some of yall couldn't read between the lines last season, they the refs chilled out on a lot of the offensive flop calling, most notably those fouls where the offensive player jump into their defender. Which brings us to K-mart....and I'll leave it at that. Oh, and FTR, Eric Gordon is a top 5 SG in the league. If you don't agree, then we apologize you don't watch any other games, other than the Rockets'.
How many games has LeBron missed? Gordon's injuries scare me, even though he is pretty damn talented. That's why i wouldn't give up Lamb, nor White. Anyone else, yes.
Sign and trade question? A lot of people on this board are predicting that we will s&t for Eric Gordon. As an IU student, I would obviously love for this to happen, but what are the chances that this actually goes through? Can we force them to s&t? Are people that think we're getting him just assuming that NO wont sign him for the max? The reason I ask is because they just cut a ton of payroll, presumably to keep Gordon. So I don't really see why Houston fans even see Gordon as a remote possibility. Is there something I'm missing, or are some of our fans just hoping NO doesn't sign an offer
Very unlikely. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I was you. The idea is that New Orleans would feel some sembalence of apprehension towards signing a max deal to a guy who can't stay healthy. We'd give them Martin who they reportedly like, and give them a young player or two.
I don't see why the Hornets would wanna trade Gordon, unless they were offered some deal they just couldn't refuse. Their roster is starting to look a lot better now (obviously) because of the draft. Gordon paired with those other young guys coming in from the draft makes for a great looking core. They could be the next OKC... who knows? I certainly wouldn't bet against it.
I suppose we have to roll the dice. Under these circumstances, I'd rather we roll the dice on a 23 year old than an older player. if we do end up with Gordon, Lee certainly becomes a nice trade asset at the deadline (or maybe even later this offseason?)
I don't think we need to add our rookies to the snt deal. They coveted Kevin Martin before, so a snt with Martin alone is already a nice compensation. 5 year 79 million through snt is almost 16 millions per year. I don't believe an injury prone near allstar worth that much. Lowry is a healthy and young near allstar on cheap contract, and he can't even get you the #5 pick. Now we are going to possibly add the #5 prospect(lamb) on our board as a filler to get an expensive long term contract for a injury prone player more or less on the same level of Lowry? And we may add more assets to the package? I see many rumors like that and they totally don't make sense, yet were discussed in long threads and actually never confirmed or happened later. IMO, a snt between him and Martin is already a risk but may worth taking, and it make sense on both sides. To be frank, I would rather get pick for Martin and keep our rookies.
