This movie was shockingly awesome -- the whole American Psycho twist is probably the best thing i've seen since 6th Sense.

Man I was just thinking about that while reading the posts from these dudes expecting sex when their chicks come back from Magic Mike. I'm guessing the sex ain't on the regular or else they wouldn't be that cool about their wives thinking of Tatum, McConaughey and Alcide while they do their thing in bed.
It's funny, I had been reading reviews of this that made me really want to go see it. My wife is doing a sort of girls weekend in Galveston this weekend and went to go see it with her friends, expecting it to be 90 minutes of shirtless Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum. She ended up being disappointed...but had she not been expecting that, I bet she would have liked it.
Haven't seen it, but that's what i got from the trailers. It didn't seem like a complete chick movie. Seemed like it had more to do with the strippers POV than the women's. Basically what the life of a male stripper is like, which, if you think about it, would be interesting to both sexes. However, you plug in a couple eye candy shots and some good dance scenes, and women will primarily eat up ticket sales.
Nota Channing Tatum fan. He seems cool I just think he is a horrible, robotic actor. That said, the trailer leads me to suspect this could be a good movie. If the gf asks, I will go watch with her.
If this is true, I might go just to see the disappointment in the women's faces as they are leaving during the credits. Priceless.
GF dragged me to go watch it.... I saw probably 5 other dudes with their girls. The rest ranged from teeny boppers to large and in charge women carrying the biggest soda in one hand and a giant tub of popcorn in the other cradled against their rolls. Sidenote... I never knew John Cena could dance and pretty cool seeing Kevin Nash as well.
Yeah, because if you are a real man your wife or girlfriend doesn't ever even notice attractive men.....just like you never even notice attractive women. Harmless fantasy is harmless..... Part of Clutchfans reminds me of the guys I went to high school with...ever vigilant to start a fistfight or screaming match if "somebody looks at their girl".

lol, my girlfriend asked me if she could go watch magic mike with her friends. I said, yeah, i'll be at the strip club with my buds, call me after the movie is over so we can meet up.. She called her friends and told them something came up lol
