You can see he was distracted and had a terrible race, the time is great for that. We all know he will do better in the Olympics, don't know how fast Blake will run though. His 19.26sec in Brussels in the 200m showed that he is special and in the same sphere. Both of them didn't show 100% this season and will likely be very close to the respective WR or beat them.

Is he getting too old? What's the peak age for runners?

Do they even run past 28ish?

They say your reach your peak around 25 or 26 and then maintain that til ~30 or 31. He just had a bad race, he looked really good in the other races this season. Don't be surprised if him or Blake come with a WR in 100m or 200m at or after the Olympics.

It might be narrow for pure sprinters: I believe Lewis was done as a top sprinter by the '92 trials, but was a legitimate long jump competitor and relay alternate for 12 years; with a full career at U of H before then that would put his career into his early 30s.

Bolt is 25, and he lost again in the 200m

Yohan Blake is a beast though. I wouldn't take the losses lightly. He's been around enough now where he's no longer starstruck and is ready to take over as #1.

yeah, but i think some sprinters may be able to go as high as 32.

Bolt is playing with the rest of the field and not showing what he got. Watch the 100m qualifcations he did in the WC last year, many fully expected him to go under 9.6 and close to his record after his performances.

He won't reveal his form until the Olympics start and then him and Blake will shock with their times. Gatlin is somewhat of a dark horse for bronze, 9.80 in the US championships(faster than before his drug abuse ban lol). Think he can go ~9.7.

I think he's been rattled every since he got disqualified. Starts are more about explosion and that's where Bolt's longer and thinner frame actually don't benefit him. I think think he's ever had this combination of physical and mental disadvantages.
