Bingo. But, given the fact that Les won't let us blow the team up and rebuild like we should, we have precisely one avenue open to us, and that is to trade for some other team's disgruntled star. Unless you already have great assets in the form of stars and high picks from the tanking Les won't let us do, you get enough assets to trade by making a series of constant, incremental trade-up upgrades - exactly the course you're speaking against.

Do you seriously, honestly think Morey does this? In any interview with him, all you ever hear from him is how much they love all the guys on the roster. If anything, the number of times he's made this kind of statement gets him accusations of insincerity.

No. But he did run out a HOF coach and burn bridges with just about every player that's left houston.

Your right. I blame Les for wanting to keep the team competitive while searching for a star. Morey is doing the best he can but it doesnt mean players are gonna like it. It just makes acquiring players harder.

All these sources/leaks about players on the trading block makes things more interesting for fans but it makes things harder for the team.

Its not about your words but your actions. I pretty sure i read somewhere that Morey said he wanted to keep Dalembert. The very next day they trade him to the Bucks. You cant trust their words 95% of the time.

Obviously i was exaggerating on that statement but no one on the team is untouchable and everyone knows it. While most players around the league aren't untouchable, its different when you constantly hear your name in trade rumors.

    exactly

Brooks was a decent PG, and i dont blame him for wanting a contract extension, turns out Brooks got hurt, and then got traded to the Suns( still with no contract)

Morey shows no loyalty to the players, that make him look good

I don't mean spoil anything for you, but despite the fact everyone's parents tell them they can be whatever they want when they grow up, it isn't true. Everyone can't start in the NBA. Everyone can't get paid what they think they deserve. Everyone can't like their boss. Everyone has a boss. Life in professional sports can be especially harsh that way, and you're projecting big-time.

What HOF coach? The two coaches he hired/fired have zero combined championships.

So what your saying is you wish we had given Brooks who didn't even play in the league last year a big contract? I'm lost on what untouchable players you guys think shouldn't be considered tradeable at this point. Funny thing is, it is the same people who both criticize because we haven't traded for a star and at the same time think that the Rocket's treating their players like "assets" is a bad thing. Also funny when you consider that every time Morey made a trade, another team that we traded with was also treating their players like "assets".

Now clearly Asik is willing to come here, which is odd since Morey is the most hated GM in the NBA

Asik sucks, how do you go from Dwight Howard all the way down to a backup in Asik

If Morey was smart he would have used the max contract he is trying to give Gordon on Hibbert, and used the money he used for Asik on a lesser SG like OJ Mayo( who is not a bad player at all)

I dont think Asik sucks but he is an upgrade over Sam D. I am sure they are trying hard to get a trade in place.

In the world of sports young guys are always gunning for your starting position. If you cant rise up to the competition and beat them out then you don't deserve your starting spot. I don't like that some people act like a starting role or a prominent roll is automatically given. Competition will make the team better in the long run anyways because the better player who wants it more will get more playing time.

What exactly is you're point? Rick Adelman is a shoe in as a HOF. He also has the best winning% in Rockets history. Are you saying Mchale was the better choice?

No, but I don't consider a coach who has never won a title a hof coach.

    No, I don't prefer McHale.

When a coach puts up HOF numbers it's kind of hard to argue against that. History doesnt support your opinion:)

What's Adelman's record when he didn't have T-Mac and Yao Ming?

    What's McHale's record?

Seriously, what dumbass NBA starter thinks his team's GM is not always out to improve the team by finding better players at every position not currently occupied by a superstar? (Which is the case of the Rockets is EVERY position.)

All the players on the roster the day before the draft SHOULD have been worried and looking over their shoulders -- they were part of a mediocre team with a GM who's desperate to improve it. So a GM with 3 mid-1st-round picks in the strongest draft in years is supposed to shoot not for starters, but for back-of-the-rotation guys, just so he doesn't upset the current guys?

You're implying Mchale's a better coach than Rick Adelman. Wowzer:eek:
