Not sure they can offer a better deal, if I understand correctly, we found a loophole to offer him a better deal than Chicago could.

why does this matter, if its not going to effect houstons cap, why does it matter so much, are you paying part of this 15 million?

if asik is going to play a much more significant role on a another team then why shouldnt he be rewarded with a pay increase..

Nah definitely understandable man, just my only issue with Asik is how much is he going to improve as a starter. I think hes like only 2 years younger then McGee, but I dont think he will improve much over the three years, maybe rebounding and a couple more blocks, but I dont see him getting a decent scoring game anytime soon.

If McGee had the right coach and all he can do great things, and if he matured with a young team that can really help him.

Can't they just amnesty Boozer if they can't trade him and retain Asik without bumping into the cap (assuming they trade Deng of course)...

They can but they still have to pay Boozer regardless.

Maybe the Rockets can send the Bulls Terrence Jones to make them feel a little better and keep them from matching.

Either one works for me. We have too damn many power forwards.

Let's look back in three years and see who you would rather have: Zeller or Royce White. As Lt. Frank Drebin said - 'Never bet on the white guy.'

Anyone that expects Omer's per-48 numbers to continue over 30 minutes, instead of 15 will be disappointed... But I disagree with you, he will make a big difference overall. Omer is an elite defender and still improving and a very good rebounder.

And they will need add Boozer to the guys they need to replace on the court-- on top of all of the other rotation guys expected to depart-- with only the MLE in hand.

For all the criticism of Boozer, the guy played almost 2000 minutes last season. You are not gonna get a good starting PF, or maybe even a good backup PF, with only the MLE in free agency-- and they need the MLE to fill holes in the perimeter spots, too.

Dunno why everyone is getting upset this guys an elite defensive player that likes to do it... And not just score points.... We finally found someone that can gel with the team and start rebuilding piece by piece.

Once Dream teaches him his arsenal all will be ok.
Let's look at the bright side, atleast we won't have one of our PF assets starting at center.

Would you want to sign a back up that gets 15 minutes a game for 25 mil over 3 years; when you have no back up point guard or shooting guard on your roster?

It is not an indictment of Omer, but Chicago already has Noah to play center and limited money to fill multiple needs.. It makes no sense to sign a reserve (no matter how good) when it only caused 4-5 other holes.

I think Royce is the single most skilled player to come out of the draft this year.
