with more PT his ppg could go up, if hes gonna be asked to guard the paint, rebound, and finish around the rim, he could be a double double guy...

If walks like, smells like, quacks like, and acts like then it's a Kelvin Cato all over again. At least we cutting the years down to 3. This dude has been hurt doesn't move well, did anyone see him after he was hurt, very ineffective. Another

Asik can not officially sign the offer until July 11th right? Does that mean the Bulls can negotiate free and clear with him until then and possibly give him a better offer?

    Eh...

I see Omer as a limited minutes guy or someone that can that can help a playoff team or a contender with his energy and hustle off of the bench.

I am not sure if the Rockets are going to get their $$'s worth while they rebuild.

those articles just show how much daryl morey is qualified for this job and you armchair GMs arent..

i think morey has done a good job given what hes had to work with.. people only see stuff in black & white, but truth is theres a whole lotta grey area.. maybe hes changing his strategy a bit now, with the inability to sign a superstar FA and quite frankly the lack of superstars on the open market now..

Cato got 6 years. Even if he's a dud, it will never be as bad as Cato's deal. Morey's working with a much larger sample size than CD had with Cato and his one preseason game.

Using this line of thinking, then you should never criticize a player seeing they're more qualified than you to do their job.

Below is a spreadsheet reflecting the Bulls' salary cap situation for the next few years if they match Asik's deal. Note this: Taj Gibson is eligible for either a contract extension or a new contract in 2013-14-- and that number is gonna be well north of $10 million.

Anyone frowning on this deal is just being daft. In 2005 CD signed Stromile Freaking Swift to a 22 million dollar deal. Asik is a legit defender, rebound machine and rim protector.

We also had max room under the cap so even if we don't unload Martin we can get Gogi and Lee back. Great move by Morey.

You have too many posts here to still not understand how restricted free agency offer sheets work. Morey uses them almost every year.

    Carl,

Can't they just negotiate a better cap friendly deal with him before he signs the offer on July 11th?

Casey, I think they have agreed but deals can not be signed until July 11th, if I am mistaken I apologize.

So they would have 9 players taking 69 mill next year if they match.

    I don't see them matching.
