He strikes me as a dude who is completely incapable of foresight or is a complete idiot.

If he wanted to go to NJ, he shouldnt have waived his ETO.

What he wants is to be traded there so he can get max $$$$, so obviously he is greedy.

The Rockets can trade for him and force a greedy person to walk away from a ton of money to quite possibly a worse team. I personally believe we have more than a slim chance of retaining said greedy individual.

I was listening to ESPN radio, and Chris Brussard said the problem is that Dwight doesn't know what the word 'blackmail' means. He really meant that Orlando lied to him. LOL.

Don't do it Morey. Do not want a one-year rental!!! All that glitters is NOT gold! Develop our young talent. Very unlikely we will win a championship with Howard next year IMO. Do not think this addition gets us closer to realizing the goal of a championship, especially if it has to be done in one year. Unfortunately it will probably be Miami again. :(

He's clearly proven himself to be an idiot. He had all the opportunity in the world to not "opt in" last year...he would be a FA right now headed on the first flight to Brooklyn. Too funny.

Guys. We have to accept that Houston is not a preferred destination for superstars like New York, LA, or Miami. Regardless of whether we love Houston, it just isn't.

Over the last 28 years, there are only 3 ways that Houston has acquired superstars:

    1. Acquire the number one pick in the draft. (Hakeem, Yao)
    2. Acquire a past-his-prime superstar who wants to play alongside Hakeem (Drexler, Barkley)
    3. Acquire an immature headcase on the cheap because his team is tired of his crap (Francis, McGrady)

That's it. We didn't get the number one pick in the draft. Hakeem is not walking through that door. So gambling on a headcase is the only way we're getting a superstar, and we can't win a championship without a superstar.

Would Wade, Lebron, Rose, Durant be less of a risk than Dwight Howard? Yes they would, that's why they are not available to us.

We have an opportunity to acquire the NBA's best center. We don't pass on that because we have dreams that one of our mid-first-round undersize power forwards could be our next Finals MVP.

i think we have what orlando needs but its gonna cost us next years draft pick+ lowry since nelson left + other players. Having dalembert would have come in handy right now

Very interesting. they did not do it before the draft. Their new GM does not like any draft picks?

No one in the Magic organization had spoken to Dwight until last night. He expressed his desire to be traded. Now the Magic are ready to hear offers.

You have GOT to believe that this is it. The longer this plays out, the weaker the Magic's position is. Other teams (like Houston for example) have got to make moves. I'm sure Morey has made it clear he is ready to deal but there is a deadline by which he has to know if Orlando is really ready in order for a "Plan B" to be achieveable (Asik, Gordon, etc).

    Tick Tock Rob Hennigan...

This is far worse than what Lebron did and guess what: the team that he would've gone to hadn't he gotten 'blackmailed' into signing his opt-in is the ROCKETS!! So a big fat ass pass on this clown.

I dont want to hear about Howard or Pau Gasol trade talks!! They are 2 drama queens, we dont need them. We need to build around young talent who actually want to be in Houston. Come on Morey enough is enough!!

Bring him in even for one year rental. we will have good chance to develop our own all star along Howard before the end of the next season.
