    But in all seriousness, that guy is just a plain douchebag. According to Wikipedia he won the gold, so why did he behave in such a manner? The girl apparently had the wind knocked out of her. His reward should be rescinded.

    Probably because the point of these sporting events are for fun. The mascot is a 14 year old girl. These type of events they like having children invloved just like how you see before any World Cup children walking with the players on the field. Its just for fun and showing kids a good time.

    I wouldn't applaud him, but I'd still laugh at the video.

    If it was a little girl not wearing that costume and he did that, then of course it would be ****ed up. But when you're wearing a mascot suit you can't be taken seriously.

    They are not for fun... They're to see who will be representing their country on a global level. Fun is a regular season basketball/football/baseball game. Olympic Trials, while fun for the athletes, are a serious matter. These athelets have put their heart and life into these few events.

    Im not defending what he did, he should not be allowed to represent his country.
