Screw Portland dick slapping our FO. Hell, we got Clyde from them and won our second title. Score 1:0 We win.
We can't have add Hibbert to the Rockets. The combination of Hibbert, the unathletic Jamaican, and Parsons, the white guy who can't shoot, is just too deviation from stereotypes for most fans.
What exactly have they "b****-slapped" the Rocket for? The Blazers took a couple guys in drafts that the Rockets wanted (Roy and Rudy Fernandez) when the Blazers had the higher draft position? Isn't that just the nature (and the whole point) of having a higher draft position? Did the Rockets "b****-slap" the Mavs by taking Jeremy Lamb and Royce White, two guys that the Mavs wanted, at 12 and 16 when the Mavs had the 17th pick? Besides, what do the Blazers have to show for these? Brandon Roy was a nice coup for sure. Just not so much recently (and in the years going forward given that the Blazers are still paying him). Rudy Fernandez looks like a fringe NBA rotation guy. The guy the Rockets had to "settle" for, Aaron Brooks, was more productive than Fernandez. Brooks also landed the Rockets Dragic and a 1st rounder used to trade for Motiejunas.
Dragic is now gonna get double the amount Lowry is gonna get( when he is not even the betetr player) And Hibbert> Asik The Blazers were smart to tank, and now look at what happened. Also stealing a Top 10- pick from the Nets for Gerald Wallace( a deal like that could have us Dwight by now)
If they sign Hibbert to a max contract they will never compete for a championship unless Lillard becomes an all star.
For all the "b**** slapping" they've done to the Rockets the Blazers has the same amount of playoff series wins as I do since they stole Roy from us.
The have batums bird rights. Look at their payroll and their recent draft of lilliard. They still have a very, very solid wes matthews. Hibbert means aldridge doesn't have to always play on the blocks. Hibbert is also a great passer out of the high post or low post. Hibbert/aldridge,batum is a really long and imposing front line.. now, indy might match, but for 4 yrs and the guy is 25 0r so. This isn't the 7 yr max like old cba. Een if he just do what he did this yr,for portland, its worth it. Indy probably matches or should match.

The Pacers won't match? Wow! Back to playoff fodder status for them. Blazers suddenly look very daunting in the West. Thank goodness we've got 6 tweeners to throw at them. They're all the rage in the NBA now.
I thought they would match for sure, but this is all just speculation. Perhaps they're saving their cap space for Eric Gordon? If Danny Granger goes on the block, they will have some space to get some decent Centers.
Hornets won't let Eric Gordon go anywhere. This is a lose/lose situation for the Pacers. Either they overpay Hibbert or let him leave for nothing.
I think that Portland will be better than mediocre for a few years, but your point is valid, that team is not championship calibur. Also, they have to decide if they want to give Batum 50 million over 4 years... Aldridge and Hibbert inside will be a handful...... but not enough....
I agree. I have always liked Roy. Roy Hibbert is talented, but too lazy for my taste. I would be INCREDIBLY scared to offer him a max contract. Lazy might be unfair. He is not consistently assertive on offense or defense.
