Correct. They have until 11pm Houston time, then after, it's league moratorium. Can't sign or do trades until that lifts.

they have to be made before 11 p.m. tonight. Otherwise, they have to wait untill teams can start to officially sign free agents on the 11.

Truth be told, If they can give us some expiring's and our own pick back, I'd take that for Scola.

Looks like Billy King's plan was a lineup of:

    Williams
    Johnson
    Wallace
    Scola
    Lopez

Then hope Orlando would accept Lopez and 2 future firsts and maybe Marshon Brooks if he was still around at the trade deadline.

Not really, Scola only has 2 guaranteed years left on his deal. 3rd is fully unguaranteed.

The expiring contracts in return will be pretty much what he's making this season.

It would work for the Rockets if it's Farmar, Petro, J.Williams.

Farmar provides backup PG minutes and expires in time for Llull. Petro is good for C depth as long as there's a starter and his backup in front of him.

Exactly, its like i know nothing is going to happen but yet and still I keep checking back on CF to see if we've done anything. "Rockets, I wish I could quit you" ...

It doesn't matter if we're taking back the same amount of money. It's only for a year and then it's off the books. Scola, on the other hand, has a guaranteed and unguaranteed year after this season. It frees up around 10 million dollars in cap room for us.

Oh boy - a pick and cap space to do this again next year!
