Here are the deals I would like to see go down and someone may have already posted this or something like this, I'm not going to read 175 posts.

    Trade 1:
    Houston Trades:
    - Kyle Lowry
    - Kevin Martin
    - Future 2nd Round Pick

    Boston Trades:
    - Rajon Rondo
    - Future 1st Round Pick (Will probably be late 1st round so not losing much)

Notes: Boston may lose Ray Allen to the Miami Heat this off season (at least there is rumor of this). This trade gives Boston a much younger replacement to Ray Allen (36) in Kevin Martin (29) and a replacement to Rajon Rondo in Kyle Lowry (Obviously Lowry is not as good but he's a leader/fighter and he can score as well as play D plus his contract is MUCH more attractive than Rondo's). Rockets get rid of the Lowry and Martin problem and downsize the roster and bring back a top notch point guard who plays the way McHale played. Like a beast!

    Trade 2:
    Houston Trades:
    - Luis Scola
    - Marcus Morris or Patrick Patterson (Let them take their pick)

    Chicago Trades:
    - Joakim Noah

Notes: Chicago gets a ton of scoring help up front with a great "high-potential" long-term player in Morris or Patterson. Rockets clear space on the Roster and add a Defensive minded center (26 years old) to man the spot for the next couple of years.

    Rockets Roster 2012 - 2013:

    P.G. - Rajon Rondo______Goran Dragic
    S.G. - Courtney Lee_____Jeremy Lamb
    S.F. - Chandler Parsons__Royce White
    P.F. - Terrence Jones____Patrick Patterson?_____Jon Leuer
    ..C. - Joakim Noah______Marcus Camby

After trades are complete, resign Dragic and Camby and cut Brockman and Livingston. Actually may want to resign Dragic first then trade for Rondo. Trading for Rondo prior to signing Dragic may piss off Dragic and cause him to sign somewhere else.

    Post-Analysis:

Like the youth movement here but I question the ability to score. The D would be unbelievable but I am not sure if there would be enough offense on this roster to get through the downtimes. However, this team would fast break with the best of them!

Agree, like them both, especially Scola. It will suck to see him traded but with all the young guys we have, it's time to see what they can do.

With us going after Dragic and Asik in free agency, I don't see either of your trades happening.

Thanks for the feedback vs. the headshake. I understand that we are going after Asik and plan to keep Dragic but the Rockets need to shed Roster and still get value back for the quality of players they are trading. If we can shed 4 players and get 2 back then we have solved the roster problem.

I am glad that the Rockets are pursuing free agents but you can't have 20 players under contract and it's better to trade players first then go after free agents then sign a bunch of free agents and have all the other teams know that you have no choice but to either cut the players or trade them for little or nothing. Know what I mean? We need to get value for our assets.

I agree with your comments about how the Bulls would react if Rockets went to them with an offer of Scola for Noah. I'd be interested dealing with Nets if they were willing to deal Brook Lopez. I figure the Nets don't want to trade him unless they're getting Dwight but then again this might be the lowest Brook's value has been in a while. I would happily give up Scola and Terrence Jones for him but it's hard to make the salaries match because Lopez is in the final year of a cheap contract.

Why in the world would Boston want to lose a 1st round pick AND downgrade at PG just to get a Kevin Martin who plays no defense? This is akin to highway robbery. Also, there is no way Dragic is gonna play backup to Rondo.

Should have said "too long" to read 175 posts. Skimmed about half way 1/4 of the way through before posting. Like the old saying goes, not what you say, its how you say it. It did sound crappy to say it that way, good point.

He would've been a great mentor for Motie, being his idol growing up and all...

I would stop watching the Rockets if we signed Rondo. I'm not saying he;s not good. I just don't like his personality. He's cocky as hell. I feel like wooping his ass every time I look at him.

Agreed with all the posters about Rondo, and how he isn't going anywhere.

Garnett may have stepped up his game in the playoffs last season, but without Rondo, the current Boston team is a mess.

I'm not so sure. They were shopping him heavily last year. Depending on what happens with Ray Allen the Celtics may be open to it. The whole point of the first rounder was that it would be a late 1st rounder otherwise i wouldn't have posted it. Agreed though that if it worked out financially, Rondo for Lowry/Martin straight up would be much more fair but that wouldn't pass which is why I through the late first rounder in there to close the financial gap.

I would think being an NBA champ AND the best PG in the East would have something to do with that.

The only suitors I see for Scola are the Nets, Magic and Raptors.

To Orlando we would get Redick and Q-Rich
To Brooklyn we would get Petro and Morrow
And to Toronto we would get Quincy Acy and Kleiza

Regardless we wouldn't be getting much back for him.
