Why are ya'll down on patterson to be the starter? He will impress i believe, great defensive positioning at all times, decent mid rang shot and can do the dirty work inside. Of course he may not be the best rebounder or may not be as aggressive as we like but he would definitely be serviceable as our starting 4.

 

I am thinking this move needs to be a 2 or 3 to 1 player exchange. If not that then we just get a future pick back no player. Don't need more bodies unless its a starter or a peace the magic would want.

 

Lowry Scola for Gortat.

 

I just wish that the rest of the GMs in the league valued Scola as highly as the GMs on ClutchFans.

Lol dragic and gortat reunited. Would be cool but our offense will really suck. At least with bynum and gasol you have a major post threat, though gortats hustle and D is second to nun.

Scola is not a starter you want on your team if you have playoff goals. Way too many holes in his game right now and his contract is so damn huge.

 

Gortat is one of the better pick and roll centers in the league

 

The Hornets would be nice place for Scola. Maybe we could get Gordon (S&T) and Jack for Scola, Lowry, Lee (S&T), and T.Jones. They get much more depth and could even go after Batum as their SF and Camby as a mentor and cheap backup C.

Gortat is the 3rd best Center in the West so no Scola cant be had for him

 

Well yeah, he's mobile, can dunk and has steve nash on his team he should be. Not to take anything away from him he does have a soft touch and is good on O around the basket but he's not really a guy u can throw the ball to when he's posted up and expect a double team or an automatic bucket like gasol or bynum.

 

Would really like to see something like this.

Gortat is such a quietly impactful center in this league.

what scares me is we "tried" to move into the top 10 multiple times in the draft.. and got denied..

I hope we aren't offering up players and gonna get denied because Morey thinks we should get more back in return..

True. I'm sure Nash helps his numbers quite a bit on that side of the ball.

 

PPat go his ankle cleaned up, he should be better than last year...White has post up abilities AND can move the ball. Jones defends better, and so on...we'll be ok. Better defense, more ball movement, much more athleticism, they'll replace Scola's 15 and 6..
