Dude, why are half the users here on crack? I have seen way to many laughably lopsided trade proposals in this forum.

Seems pretty realistic, although this is obviously the type of deal you only would do if there's absolutely nothing else of value out there.

It's tough to put a good value on Scola, but here are some ideas with some type of value coming back in return.

    - To BKN for cap space and a protected future pick
    - To CHI for two of Korver, Watson and Brewer (who are basically equal to cap space) and a protected future 1st.
    - To LAL, packaged with Lowry, T.Jones, Morris and a pick for Bynum
    - To NOH for cap space and a second rounder or two
    - To NOH, packaged with Lowry for Eric Gordon (credit to Carl Herrera)
    - To SAC for cap space and a second rounder or two
    - To SAS for a future pick and the draft rights to David Bertans and/or Adam Hanga, with DeJuan Blair going to a third team.
    - To TOR for cap space and a protected future pick

why cant they just amnesty him and get it over with. Hes in his mid 30s hes useless. He has an occasional 20/10 game and takes an occasional flop charge, whats so damn impressive about taht

Because then, we don't get anything back. Scola still has some value around the league and if we can get something for him, we should do it.

because teams around the league would take Scola? He's a damn professional and doesn't have injury issues. ALways plays hard, never shows attitude or ego...

If there's anyone that needs to be amnestied, its probably Kevin martin.

of course he has value around the league but hes owed $8 mil. Who the eff would want that? Hes basically a dead weight.

Martin is an expiring contract. Definitely has more value than Scola. Again all those things you listed are not worth $8 mil.

Since scrub teams will have first chance of getting him if he gets amnestied, why not just let him go and get it over with ? He'll go to Charlotte or something. Its a form of restricted free agency

This would suck if Patterson is the starter. I don't want to see how bad our offense will be when the best post up player on the team is no longer here. You could count on Scola to give you about 17pts or more almost every night. Hope D-Mo or White can step up or this team is gonna be awful next season.

Listen, Amare isn't fulfilling his potential there and maybe doesn't fit. But he still has value. Shumpert is potentially one of the best defenders in the league, ton of athleticsm, huge upside and young.

Scola+K-Mart are trash and won't help them anyhow.

Plus, if NYK does it for the cap space, they still won't get a star in FA that improves them that much.
