I know the Rockets need a big man but that doesn't mean they can just use the 12th pick to draft a center just because they need one. Rules on drafting, especially if you have a lottery pick is you always draft the best player available and then you can worry about filling in the position needed later. It would be a waste of a pick if we just use our lottery pick for a center that would be an average role player at best just because you need one. THe Rockets can always trade one of their PFs for one or through FA.
What about this: http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2012/06/rockets-extend-qualifying-offer-to-courtney-lee/
Wow, he just turned 20 on May 30. I like this pick, but I think he'll have a tough first couple of years in the league like Wes Johnson. He needs to get stronger and develop a more consistent outside game.
I think he meant perimeter shooting, in which case Lamb was only shooting 34% from college three. From what I saw of UConn (admittedly, only 4 or 5 games), Lamb wasn't getting so many open looks at the basket and was taking quite a few contested threes. The UConn offense was kind of chaotic. His shooting percentage could see a rise from just playing with a better team that can get him better looks at the basket.
Martin has to go. And I think Lee does as well. And Lowry. If we can ditch Scola our starting line-up could truly be awful. We get to watch super young guys playing and the high picks roll in!
BTW, you better hope Jeremy Lamb Grows the F up. Bad sport sometimes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IHOuIfDhM8
He has the talent to be good in a few years I think... I don't think he'll make a great impact right away though. I'd be surprised to see him score more than 7 points/game in his rookie season, which still isn't bad for most rookies.

Really depends on: Minutes Is Martin a Rocket Is Lamb a Rocket will the Rockets run Parsons scored more than 7 a game and is not the offensive weapon Lamb is. If Lamb plays for the Rockets enough minutes, he will score. He does need to add some muscle.
Honestly, I think we ditch everybody except Parsons, Motie, and the rookies. That, or trade Jones, White, Scola, Lowry, and Martin. Hopefully, we can get picks + prospects.
No one will be surprised if half our roster is gone within 48 hours, but I hope Morey keeps Lamb. Of the three rookies selected, I think he has the most potential.
He has all the God given gift of a true scorer...Lamb is lights out shooter...especially his mid range game...his feet work reminds me of one.. player we used to have who is now a shell of his past...Lamb will score...
