LMAO They're both big and have pg skills. THat's it. The most important aspect about Lebron is not that he has pg skills, its that he's built like Karl Malone but he moves around like Rose.

Rather than Lebron, I think WHite could become a focused Beasley (IE Derrick Rose). Let's see what happens lol.

Maybe we should let him become an actual NBA rotational player before crowning him the second coming of the best player in the game.

2010: Patrick Patterson. The Rockets claim he was no.6 on their draft board. Their media guy kept on gushing how he blew the Rockets FO away with his pre-draft interview.

2012: Royce White. The Rockets claim he is a top 5 talent. Their media guy and others are saying how they love him as an interview subject.

No. Maybe the Vlade Divac of Powerforwards minus the flopping.

Royce White damn skilled, but as DD pointed out, not anywhere close to as quick and explosive.

    (Way stronger though...)

I know many people have said this before in other threads, but this thread is quite possibly the worst thread I've ever read.

The bigger question is will he be more Lebron-like than Von Wafer, a.k.a Streetball?

He has more of a Ron Artest body. I think he has an offensive first mentality unlike Artest who has a defensive first mentality.

I can see the comparison .... even while others dismiss the notion outright.

They do have similar size and skillsets .... tho White isnt close when it comes to shooting or defending.

Think about the last 6'8" guy with that skillset .... he's a HoFer.

Diclaimer: thats not to say Royce White will become anything near Lebron or Magic .... Just that the skills are there to be harnessed / developed.

No, I would not compare him to James. I think a better comparison is the young Charles Barkley. They called him the "round mound of rebound" because he was 6'6 275, but he could run, jump, dunk, rebound and had a great inside the paint dribble-drive game. I see the same moves in White's videos. White can't shoot, but neither could young Barkley. If White could be like Barkley, thats a good thing. Barkley developed a jump shot and in his prime was virtually unguardable.
