That's the one guy I wouldn't mind losing Goran for.

I like Batum by the way but I don't see him as a great fit with us since we have Parsons.

It would really be overkill at that point. Every position would have some type of controversy at it, except center...because we don't have one as of midnight tomorrow.

I guess I could see Parsons for Batum straight up.

How would you guys feel about that?

Absolutely OK but preferrably Morris, at this point. Batum can play 2, too, which Parsons can't.

Why would he want to go to the Spurs? They have Kawhi.

    He should go to Cleveland.

He could go to the Hornets. They have crazy cap space and he'd be a nice addition to that young squad.

doesn't he play the two for team france sometimes?
start him at the two with lee coming off the bench.

    Asik/camby/demo 4tr
    Scola/demo/royce
    Parsons/Morris/royce
    Batum/lee
    Dragic/royce/livingston

    the new wave of bball!

No, thanks. We have enough forwards. He's gonna get paid nice.

I would not be okay with that.

Batum will make at least $7-8M per season on his new deal. At least.

    Meanwhile . . . Parsons makes $900k per season.

Batum is a very good player. Batum is probably a superior player to Parsons. But I'd rather have the cap flexibility that a quality young starting SF who only makes $900k per season gives the team.

On the rift between the Blazers and Batum's agent . . . OUCH!

To go telling the media that you're pretty much willing to purposely screw over your client's team in free agency because of a perceived low-ball offer months before your client hits free agency seems a bit much for me.

I doubt that another GM intentionally preys on the Blazers by extending a large offer sheet to Batum. Unless the team truly wants to add Batum ASAP, I don't think any teams wants to create what would certainly be animosity from a future trade partner.

Batum's ok. He does a lot of things well. Nothing great. You could have worst players on your team. But he's at BEST the 4th best player on a deep playoff team. If he's better than you're 4th best player, you have problems. See the Portland Trailblazers.

Rockets should go all out this free agency. Trade Lowry, Parsons and Scola for Bynum.

    Dragic / Livingston / Fortson
    Martin / Lamb
    Batum / Jones
    White / Patterson / Morris
    Bynum / Asik / Camby

Let Chicago have Lee if they let us have Asik.

I'm not buying the rift angle. GM's talking to players only benefits the team. The only point of it is to try to bypass negotiations with the agent and grease up the player to take less money.

I thought DM is the only GM that puts team flexibility above 'assets'
