We've had like 5 people knock Bleacher Report...fine...I'm cool with that, but come on I posted a link earlier from NBA.com that says we are winners too. This thread was not meant to trash Bleacher Report but to post opinions that say we did a great job. Watch the NBA link again, dang
“Man is a credulous animal, and must believe something; in the absence of good grounds for belief, he will be satisfied with bad ones.” ― Bertrand Russell, Unpopular Essays If there were good trades, then Morey would make those trades. It takes two to tango. In the absence of good trades, a bad trade is still a bad trade. Too many teams had been ruined for years because they thought they needed to do something or else. It's a good thing that neither Les nor Daryl is that undisciplined (I am looking at you, Michael Jordan).
In the BR 'article', I am really curious as to what the heck THIS is supposed to mean: " Jones joins fellow Kentucky player Patrick Patterson as a 3-4 tweener, but he's much more inept at shooting the jumper and slashing to the rim than people give him credit for." My guess he either meant to say 'adept', or 'much less inept' (which would be terrible-er writing) So yeah, I think we got good players, we will probably like them all really soon, but having outfits like BR doesn't really add much credibility to the notion.
For the last time, here is the link to NBA.com. i wish I could change the thread title because its to distracting. Watch the link if you need to: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/draft/2012/06/29/rockets_draft_review.nba/
That's why you gave it a D. LMAO. You guys do realize that multiple sites gave the Rockets A's. I even saw an A plus. Google is your friend.
From my perspective, the picks were great (12, 16, 18) ... top level talent for those spots. The steal was Lamb, obviously who went a little lower than projected. He's not going to see long time on the bench unless he gets injured. Other two picks were good selections, but overkill. Don't get me started on the Furkan thing. I could see the point of drafting them for others teams, and keeping one, while dealing out some of the vets on the roster. It's alot of confusion.
I agree our draft choices were good and we came out winners but we still didn't trade for anyone of importance so were losers. It's like saying your going home with the hottest girl in the bar and leave with the fat chick ( or in the rockets case a mediocre chick ) some may call that winning but it's still gross
