    VERY happy about this pick. If not for contract issues that may keep him in Europe until at least 2014, some thought Aldemir could have been a late first rounder. EXCELLENT value in the 50s. Agree that he's a great draft-and-stash pick. Not quite on the level of a Sergio Llull, but close. (I'm referring to Sergio Llull circa 2009, not the All-Euroleague level Llull of today.)

    Either he joins the club in 2-3 years (hopefully the Rockets will have sorted out their 6-9 forward issue by then!) or he can be traded down the road for more than the Rockets gave up to get him.

    I'm assuming the pick was acquired for straight cash, which itself is an excellent allocation of resources. With additional trades not likely to be made tomorrow or Saturday, this was one of the last opportunities for the Rockets to spend the remaining $1.5M of their annual $3M alottment before the figure "resets" on Sunday to $3.1M for the 2012-13. Way to go, Morey. And way to pay up, Les!
