I'm thinking we need to have Dragic signed and secured before we make any moves. That gives us a few more days of hypersensitive anticipation. Confidential to the pessimists: Please hold your breath.
I don't know how I feel about this. I like Lamb because we have to get rid of Martin. Now we have way too may players between SG, SF and PF. Things just always fall apart. I can't believe we didn't deal Lowry.
Everyone tries to act like Rudy didn't happen and we were In win now mode yaadada yaada ...he looked like TMAC deux and WOULD have played bc he was THAT good But we satisfied JVG The franchise crippled itself there. Since then rocks, no rock candy in my stockings
Please, or Bynum can take threes and grab 30 rebounds like Barkley wearin number 4. I'd gladly take that:grin:
I take that bk Kahn almost screwed the franchise with the Roy drama But....he retired and legs are jelly oh ya now Rudy Gay sounds raunchy good
GS lost eleven more games than the Rockets and get Harrison Barnes. Detroit lost nine more games than the Rockets and get Andre Drummond. Portland lost six more games than the Rockets and get Meyers Leonard. Morey passed on John Henson. Morey passed on Tyler Zeller. Morey passed on Arnett Moultrie. Morey passed on Perry Jones III. I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised Dallas pulls off a smooth trade. I'm not surprised we missed out on the Perfect Pick by one draft slot. I'm not surprised Morey ignored our most glaring need. I'm not surprised at all.
So we got 3 rookies. It's really time to blow it up. Trade Martin, Lowry, Scola. Get draft picks. Nets don't want to suck. If Deron leaves them, trade them Lowry and Scola for somebody and their unprotected 1st next year. Trade Martin to Minny for a bag of potato chips. Roll with this going forward: PG Dragic / Livingston SG Lee / Lamb SF Parsons / Morris PF Patterson / White / Ross / Donuts (eeeesh...still unsure of what to do here) C Camby / Donuts That would still be a good and exciting team. We could go small and run lots.
Younger and cheaper too. Don't forget the new CBA and luxury tax ramifications Not dollar for dollar any more If a team is $20M over. They get hit $20M in tax. It will now be $20M=$45M Reason why we all didn't see a lot of trades go down tonight like normal. Usually players draft rights are dealt before they can even put on a team hat. This year is a little different and going forth. Seems like teams have put a new importance on the draft considering the affordability and the value that can come from a prospect to a seasoned vet Looks like teams want to hold off and wait... See what comes up Teams are willing to hold there young assets more now then in the past considering the new CBA. Rightly so. We all knew it was either clear cap and trade assests to gain superior assests and then get a star or superstar player. That was best case sernario. Worse case scenario was... Keep the picks, go young, trade cap casualties and aging assets. Clear cap and maybe stay young or sign a FA. Maybe tank. Either situation is better than being stuck in the middle.
I hope to see this lineup. Time to develop our guys. Dragic/Livingston Lamb/Lee Parsons/White/Morris Donuts/Leuer Camby/(Free agent) Trade Lowry, Kmart, Patterson, Scola for picks. Sad thing is, I don't even think the above team is bad enough to get us a top 10 pick.
